JOHN KERRY SIGNS HISTORIC UN SMALL ARMS TREATY

Wednesday morning US Secretary of State John Kerry signed the first global treaty intended to regulate the trade of arms around the world. The United Nations Small Arms Trade Treaty is designed to slow the flow of weapons used in war crimes and genocide although gun rights activists worry the treaty is a creep towards regulation of individual gun rights. Despite the signing, congressional approval is still needed. Kerry has applauded the adoption of the treaty and stated that it will offer protections against violence while respecting the 2nd amendment of the United States Constitution.
