Looks like I finally caught IT

Woke up Friday morning glazed in sweat under my covers and when I jumped out of bed to pee I was so cold I was shaking not just shivering. Checked my temp and it was nearly 102 and my head was pounding so I popped a couple Tylenol. Woke up and that's when the cough started. It was productive but has become dry usually. Used a rapid test and it's positive. Did another one positive again. My wife also did one and it was negative.

What's weird is the fever spikes then goes away earlier like I said it was around 101 now its down normal. Also my back and scalp feels really weird like when I touch them. Kinda extra-sensitive especially the latter when I rake my fingers through my hair.

By and large this feels sort of shitty but only when I can feel ny fever going up but still what I'd call very mild. Wouldn't even suspect covid if I hadn't taken a test to sort of confirm it.


For the folks who go on about the tests I've been exposed numerous times but never had it and had those brain poking tests administered by military doctors yet never once popped positive on them before. That's probably 6 times minus the first two times they tested us at basic.
I'm not here trying to convince others that COVID is real or not because I know that's a topic that comes up quite often here but I definitely caught something folks I work with (all vaxxed btw) are testing positive for it with.
