Maybe the bank is going "paperless" where all statements and cancelled checks are only available online after that date.

There's no way an individual bank would go cashless on such short notice.

In fact it would be illegal for a bank to not accept cash deposits and provide cash withdrawals since cash is still legal tender.

I'd be very surprised if the technology and systems to support a digital currency are in place by then. I'd expect to see a widespread, centralized coordination to promote and manage a digital currency.

I deposited $600 cash (hundred dollar bills) into my account on Friday October 14 2022
At the same time i put down $2000 cash (hundreds also) onto my car loan down at the bank at the teller.

They took the money and credited my accounts. TD

Going paperless is a big cost cutting measure for many companies especially banks.
They can skip all the shredding cost and can maybe get rid of the monthly cost of that dumpster out back at small branch offices.

My local US Bank office no longer provides deposit or withdrawal slips. If you need to write it all down on your own piece of paper and then hand it to the teller, after the transaction they hand it right back to you, they don’t want it. They don’t want the responsibility and cost of disposing of it.
