Not for bugging out in the woods silly. But when all motels & hotels are closed or full. Cannot get to any friends or family. Homeless people live in tents, on the hard sidewalk. If a major evacuation you might become homeless. 4) Hurricanes in Florida teach us that gasoline will be gone in the blink of an eye. I suggest a siphon of some kind, to "borrow" any gasoline that might be "available" know what I mean? Try Harbor Freight. Less than $20 Last Edited by ThirstyMarlin! on 10/22/2022 12:49 AM Marlin! |

The Don Of Nantucket User ID: 80692948 United States 10/22/2022 12:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm just getting normal things that I know I will need in the next few years like wiper blades for the vehicles, brakes etc as you just know they will either be harder to find, cheaper made, and of course a lot more expensive. ThirstyMarlin! (OP) User ID: 78110098 United States 10/22/2022 12:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good rope! Quoting: The Don Of Nantucket Seriously. Good rope is getting hard to find now and when you do find some that is decent it is of course expensive as hell. I bought a spool of 550 para-cord from BudK 500ft for $20. Paracord is great with working load around 250lbs and the max load is 550lbs hence the name. That's a lot of weight! Of course the working load is the number to use. At 550 (or sooner) the cord breaks! For more weight, double or triple up the cord used. Remember to seal cut-ends with a lighter; 'spliced shut'. Marlin! |
