Brave New World is being played out every day today. Keep the masses dumbed down and entertained with drugs, alcohol and sex while TPTB rape them of finances and property and rights. 1984 -- scenes of that played out in Ottawa this year when Trudeau ordered the Truckers out of Ottawa and his henchmen drove them out, then had the banks freeze accounts of those who donated to Freedom. So, was Orwell a socialist? Most likely. He only wrote what he knew would happen because TPTB have been planning it for a long long time. |

Ingsoc wasn't really socialism. It was an authoritarian, dystopian form of man's corruption of socialism. One that would someday come to fruition in England and her children |

Quoting: SgtWalleye1 EVERY DAMN Search to include Duck, Duck, GO - says he was some sort of socialist? George Orwell (Eric Blair) was pretty poor as well as being sick for most of his life. He spent a lot of time among the lowest class of people. "Down and Out in Paris" was a book about his experience of being a kitchen porter, living in a vagrants hostel. Seeing the depravity would hardly likely make him a screaming capitalist, Conservative. Socialism is not Soviet Russia or North Korea communism, it is a form of government that is supposed to look after the worst off. Socialism fails as does capitalism, it's just that capitalism lasts a little longer before the corruption takes over. Politics is a bullshit corruption of human nature's Tribal programming - extended family hierarchy and leadership, warriors and tribal elders. |

[link to news.stanford.edu (secure)] In his new book on George Orwell, Stanford English Professor Alex Woloch writes that Orwell’s anti-totalitarianism can only be understood in relation to his democratic-socialist political beliefs. His brother was on The Planning Committee. They planned how to control humanity, without asking their permission either. It was a British Think-tank initiated by The Crown Corporation known as The Greater London Authority today. |
