Overworked US Capitol Police officers - who monitor the safety of 535 members of Congress - reportedly stopped 'continuously monitoring' video feed despite home security cameras capturing attack on Paul Pelosi

Capitol Police had live video surveillance outside Nancy Pelosi's $6million home when a crazed man allegedly attacked the Speaker's husband with a hammer

However, they weren't watching it when the strike took place, due to lack of staff

Instead, after Pelosi left San Francisco last week for a trip to D.C., officers in Washington stopped monitoring the 24/7 feed, it's been revealed

The decision saw officers ignore a crucial vantage point right outside the house

Capitol Police had live video surveillance outside Nancy Pelosi's $6million home when a crazed man allegedly attacked the Speaker's husband with a hammer - but weren't watching it when the strike took place due to lack of manpower.

Instead, after Pelosi left San Francisco last week for a trip to D.C., officers in Washington stopped monitoring the 24/7 feed, it's been revealed - ignoring a crucial vantage point right outside the politician's house.

If officers had been watching the feed in real-time, the break-in would have been seen - leading to questions about the municipality's short-staffed force, who are responsible for the safety of 535 members of Congress.

On Tuesday, a filing revealed the suspect, a fringe activist drawn to several conspiracy theories, had plans to target other politicians as well, and was arrested carrying a list with the names of prominent state and federal politicians – and members of their families.

They don't really care whether the truth gets out, because the public no longer knows what's meant by "the truth."

Well, I mean, no one can tell the difference anymore between what's real and what's fake.

Anyway, the point is, I can tell you all of this, right out in the open, because it doesn't matter who knows about it. They won't know whether to believe it or not.-

A gun is a tool, Marion, no better or no worse than any other tool, an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

Liberty's too precious a thing to be buried in books, Miss Saunders. Men should hold it up in front of them every single day of their lives and say: I'm free to think and to speak. My ancestors couldn't, I can, and my children will. Boys ought to grow up remembering that . - MR Smith Goes To Washington-

Retired Fire Alarm / Security / Camera Tech here:

I've installed some high quality security cameras but willing to bet big $$$$ no where near the quality Pissoli has around their house / community...

Even the systems you can buy at Walmart can be set up block out certain areas so you can ignore trees / leaves moving in the wind or a cat walking across a porch, and concentrate on specific areas (like entry doors) and will send an alarm - alert to the monitoring center...

I doubt they have someone dedicated to specifically monitor "her house" full 24 / 7 or someone dedicated to each member of congress...
I've been in some big monitoring centers and am familiar how they operate and dispatch officers in the field...

The "stopped monitoring" story is more of a diversion- cover up...if they stopped monitoring in person, the footage is still on the "in home DVR" as well as the monitoring center servers...
