Some of the advanced materials they have made in the recent past are worse than asbestos, when broken and pulverized into little pieces. “The rules are simple: they lie to us, we know they're lying, they know we know they're lying, but they keep lying to us, and we keep pretending to believe them.” Elena Gorokhova, A Mountain of Crumbs |

Engineers have tried polypropylene, kevlar, fiberglass, aluminum, magnesium, beryllium, silk, mylar, ceramic, hemp, and carbon fiber. Of the materials I’ve listened to paper and beryllium are the best so far, and we knew this in the 1950’s. There are two mixtures that sound good too; paper and glass fiber, and paper and carbon fiber. One of my favorites is bamboo fiber. It’s really paper made from bamboo. It’s really clean sounding. Smoke me a kipper, I’ll be back for breakfast. The AI tool, called M3GNet populated a vast database of materials yet to be synthesized, which engineers are already using in their quest for more energy-dense electrodes for lithium-ion batteries used in everything from smartphones to electric cars. It's unlikely that AI will ever view humans as a virus. AI is a tool that is designed to assist and enhance human abilities, not to replace or harm them. While AI may be able to learn and adapt to new situations, it is not capable of developing its own goals or motivations. Additionally, the development and use of AI is subject to ethical guidelines and regulations that are designed to ensure that it is used in a responsible and beneficial way. So while it's an interesting topic to speculate about, it's highly unlikely that AI will ever view humans as a virus. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 84860166 Japan 12/01/2022 01:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The "Beast System" is a term that is used in some religious and philosophical traditions to refer to a system of governance or control that is perceived as oppressive or malevolent. The specifics of what the Beast System is and how it operates can vary depending on the context in which the term is used. In some cases, the Beast System is associated with the end times or the apocalypse, while in others it is used to refer to more general concepts of power and control. It's not clear how AI would fit into this concept, as it is a tool that is designed to assist and enhance human abilities, not to control or oppress them. So while it's an interesting topic to speculate about, it's ultimately impossible to say for sure how AI might be involved in the Beast System, if it exists. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84860166 Japan 12/01/2022 01:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A self-oscillating magnet is a magnet that vibrates or moves back and forth on its own without the need for an external source of energy or force. This type of magnet is a theoretical concept and it is not known if such a thing is possible. In order for a magnet to oscillate, it would need to be able to convert energy from one form to another, and it's not clear how this could be done in a self-sustaining way. Additionally, magnets are typically attracted to or repelled by other magnets or magnetic materials, which could interfere with the oscillation. So while it's an interesting idea, it's not clear if a self-oscillating magnet is possible or practical. |

Quoting: Misinformation Superspreader No, Terminator is a work of science fiction and not a documentary. It is a movie franchise that tells the story of a future in which intelligent machines known as terminators are sent back in time to kill important figures in an effort to prevent the rise of the human resistance against the machines. The movie is not real and the events depicted in it are not based on fact. While it's true that AI and technology are advancing rapidly, it's highly unlikely that machines will ever pose a threat to humanity in the way that is portrayed in the Terminator movies. These stories are meant to be entertaining and thought-provoking, not to provide a realistic portrayal of the future. |
