Those that have rejected God, the Bible, Jesus ... dying before they hear and accept the Gospel is the worst thing, to be avoided at all costs. In case anyone is wondering, including those that consider themselved saved, this is the Good news, the gospel:

I think that is why so many churches prey upon new recruits in the military ... so when soldiers are used for cannon fodder at least, if they accepted Jesus as their savior, a soldiers murder is a faster journey to the Lord. Yet for the unsaved soldier, their executions by their own country as cannon fodder sends them to hell before they get to hear the Good news, the gospel.
