No need to have boots on the Russian ground for blowing up their refineries.

Refineries are already highly flammable, so even the weakest of the U.S. orbital laser platforms can easily blow them up... which, I bet, is exactly what's been happening.

Likewise for any highly flammable facilities on the U.S. soil getting hit by Russian orbital weapons platforms (yes, everybody has at least one up there now).

I do find it extremely funny that both Russian and U.S. (and Chinese, while we're at it) governments will happily let the other one(s) blow up their critical infrastructure sky-high if the only alternative is blowing up opposition's satellites in orbit, and then having one's own satellites blown up in retaliation.

Heck, all three governments will happily blow up their own people on the ground, rather than lose their "precioussss" satellites.

Human life is worth less than a bunch of (in reality completely worthless, and the first to be nuked when nukes start flying) metal and silicon in orbit.

Once again, we're being reminded that all governments on this planet are exactly the same, regardless of the lies they tell their own... slaves, really. There are no actual citizens on Earth.
