I agree with the other poster, it's a strange thing to say, because that's an old saying that he is misusing. If someone says "that's gravy", that's a term meaning "that's easy to do" or "that's lucrative work". It's like saying "I am riding the gravy train" which would mean "I have things easy now" or "I am making good money for little work" right now. The saying has been around for a very long time.
