Most Americans don't get to see American pilots flying fighter jets, and I've seen them all over the West, from Death Valley to Eastern Oregon, flying in remote areas.

The coolest thing I ever saw was 3 fighter jets punching out of the fog, and banking straight up the sea cliff I was standing on. I could of hit the bottom of one of those jet fighters with a rock. It was like they appeared out of nowhere. They must have been practicing flying on instruments in the fog, like they were in the clouds flying towards a mountain side.

I've also had Apache helicopters target the top of my travel trailer as I'm rolling down the road near a base. It's scary as shit thinking one of those could vaporize your vehicle.

Talk about an over reach

A nuclear strike would be way too much over some migs.

Coolest I've seen was right after 9/11 when I was in college, TSTC Sweetwater. The school started out from a shut-down WWII WASP pilot training airfield, the airstrip is still there and is now a small municipal airport.
