The reason is very simple -

The Powers that were just do not have the gold to back these currencies

So the introduction is just another useless piece of paper in digital form

It will have some value but their wet dream to cover

ALL THE MONEY

simply will not happen

CBDC can not exist without telecommunications and Internet infrastructure. Eliminate that infrastructure will eliminate CBDC. Think.
