I was so happy to see her and thanked Jesus non stop. I took her in and made her my pet and begged Jesus to extend her life and add more years. That was 5 years ago. He was a scrawny wild black cat. We had to live at the hospital for 2 weeks, then our kids home for 3 more weeks. When we got back home, he was gone. I doubt that he made it. Another wild cat is still here which is great, but that old black cat was special. |

I found one cat that used to live in my backyard, but moved to a nearby neighborhood. She relocated permanently and doesn’t come back. Found her a year later. |

You said your acquaintance began in 2011. You didn't say how long it lasted or whether you and she became buddies, only that she abruptly ghosted you at some point. I can't argue that it'd be a seriously good feeling to see her again, to know that she hadn't transformed herself into roadkill (which isn't hard to do). "Stranger! Long time, no see!" I'm iffy about it being an unmatched feeling, though. The thought of being fully bonded with a dog, and then to have the dog disappear. That'd be rough. But then if you were to be reunited, after a week or after five years . . . that, I think, would be fulfilling and praise-the-Lord-worthy. There are multiple "reunited" videos on PooTube. Some may be genuine, but I suspect most are hamfisted re-enactments. It sounds like you've managed to "domesticate" her this time around. You may have domesticated her into being a 100% housecat, or you may keep her under close surveillance when she goes outside. I hope she's doing well, whatever the case. |
