no video==no doom User ID: 513827 United States 10/05/2008 02:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Went out tonight, typically we're only in bars when we play, but tonight we went to see some friends, good tunes, good beat, but folks don't dance anymore. What's up with that? Quoting: Turtles KnowI danced, cause that's what I do, but the chicks that danced had that adolescent boy dance of raising their arms and bashing their head, wth? I know I'm old, but damn, wth, I think it's pharmaceuticals kinda killing the instinct. Use to folks would dance, now they don't, kinda stand numb on the sidelines and nod their head, sad. Hate to post and run, but hubby enjoyed the dancing, if you know what I mean... Because everyone is too afraid to do something outside the norm.. what if they can't do the latest dance steps or stay in beat.. everyone is scared of their shadow these days :) I get down!!! |

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think. Adolf Hitler When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny. Thomas Jefferson "Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." Jim Morrison |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 517779Have you noticed that new music is sounding more and more miserable (violent/sad) everyday? Yes, but I was watching an orginal band that has incredible energy, nothing dark about those guys. |

I should have said popular musicians/music, top 40 (sounds more like "bottom 40") the local bands around me still are upbeat. |

BTW, only seen Hubby dance with an instrument in his hands, but I think I'll be having him on the floor, only for slow one, soon ... maybe a few years, but Yea! |

Top 40 and media pushed stuff sucks, but there is alot of talent out there, good souls working hard for what they belive in. |

He's got rhythm, big time, but he only shows it on stage, you know, one of those introverted folks one on one, but on stage, he's amazing. Me, I'm the opposite, I'm a little freaked out up in front of folks, but when no one's focused on me, well, I'm a dancing turtle. Anyway, bout to crash, good to see you friend! |

I never have and never will dance to a live band, but have myself danced at many clubs, especially the after hours clubs. Maybe some just like to watch the band (I'd rather watch as they are they to entertain me..not me them, lol!) or it is a sign of the times (people are not has happy so they don't dance?). Don't know..but I'm cutting footloose! :-) |
