Why Don't Folks Dance Anymore?

i danced last weekend at my brother's wedding reception. fun times. find a wedding reception to go to :D

My niece is getting married soon, so maybe there is hope!

Because everyone is too afraid to do something outside the norm.. what if they can't do the latest dance steps or stay in beat.. everyone is scared of their shadow these days :)

I agree. Back in the day, we used to go dancing every weekend. I lived for dancing back then! Lots of fun.

My niece who is a college freshmen
said that the kids share their meds and mix them with booze
like it's no big deal...
they have no idea the damage that's accumulating there.

I only danced when I was kind of drunk. I don't drink anymore, so I don't dance.

I dance too, and I did tonight, I'll feel the back tomorrow but it was worth it!

I should have said popular musicians/music, top 40 (sounds more like "bottom 40") the local bands around me still are upbeat.

Next life AU, I'm coming back as a dancing elephant! Or if, as I fear, I'll just wake up the same little turlte I've always been, then I'm gonna figure out a way to dance.

BTW, only seen Hubby dance with an instrument in his hands, but I think I'll be having him on the floor, only for slow one, soon ... maybe a few years, but Yea!

Top 40 and media pushed stuff sucks, but there is alot of talent out there, good souls working hard for what they belive in.

He's got rhythm, big time, but he only shows it on stage, you know, one of those introverted folks one on one, but on stage, he's amazing. Me, I'm the opposite, I'm a little freaked out up in front of folks, but when no one's focused on me, well, I'm a dancing turtle.

DANCING COOL BABE

Interesting..maybe it depends on the area? Here, people dance on a daily basis, but I do see more dancing at the clubs than the bars.

Karaoke might be somewhere to try...and there again some are better than others, but one of the few places where you will see different generations participating in dance and song.

I never have and never will dance to a live band, but have myself danced at many clubs, especially the after hours clubs. Maybe some just like to watch the band (I'd rather watch as they are they to entertain me..not me them, lol!) or it is a sign of the times (people are not has happy so they don't dance?).

Don't know..but I'm cutting footloose! :-)
