On July 4th my US Flag will be flying upside down!

Sorry but I guess I postesd it wrong... Tyranny has been going on and enough is enough. I hope others follow suit hanging their us flags upside down. I would like to find the flag. 'Give me Liberty. Don't Tread on me'

I've got a flag pole with the Confederate flag,then the gadsden flag and the American flag below it upside down.it's a real attention getter.I've had several people stop and take pictures of it,but after i started going outside with my AR and asking them what the fuck they're doing on my property that's pretty much stopped.

I've got an upside down distress flag tshirt.

I don't think I have the b**lls to wear it on the 4th cause I'll be with my family to be honest.

So long as there are men and women in service in a foreign war, it's demoralizing and disrespectful of what they are sacrificing, to use the flag for symbol of failure.

There are going to be some people who don't get what you are trying to say. And they might not take kindly to it.

But I can almost guarantee that the average person has no idea what an upside down American flag means. I don't know...just the military people I imagine.

The Gadsden Flag

The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the snake is the legend "DONT TREAD ON ME" [sic]. The flag was designed by and is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. It was also used by The United States Marine Corps as an early motto flag.

Yep that's the flag. Sorry but. what good is our military when we the US citizens lose our freedom. Our children lose their freedom. This country is not what is was 30 years ago. I can't recognize it anymore
Don't get me wrong I deeply appreciate our people in the military but we need to start showing a stand together here in the US. And the flag is the biggest eye catcher to those that believe in the US, freedom and liberty

You have a valid point Andromeda. I honor service men and women. They have the right intention. I have nothing against fighting for freedom.

Maybe I'm naive but I don't connect the upside down flag to dishonor the service men and women because I think they're being bamboozled even worse than the US citizen. We're not the ones sacrificing our lives, they are and that makes me so upset.

Oh boy that might really make you angry. I'm sorry. But this is a statement for them too, even more importantly.

Because our country has been sold out - it's not about our young people fighting for freedom anymore, it's fighting and dying for corporate interests that don't give a shit about them.

the us flag represents the union of all states being owned by the federal government. if you put up the us flag you are representing the federal government.

Fuck 'em. They chose to go to war. And to fly a flag for the past dead of previous war is even more of an insult. IMO its like saying they died to help boost an economy. Im not American, but when I look at you guys, I really think you should all get over this idea of patriotism, its really sick.

Flying the American flag upside down is traditionally considered a sign of distress, as it is with all national flags. The signal is one that was used primarily in past centuries (pre-1900s), on the high seas by military and merchant marine vessels alike. While the U.S. Flag Code does permit flying the flag with the union down, it specifies only "...as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property."

So - in essence - I agree with Bowhuntress. Our life and property IS IN DANGER by the Socialism of our US Government.
