Liberty should be opposed to violence, and should be inspired by reason. Or else liberty would just be another form of terrorism, fanaticism and self-imposed irrationalism .

I like the word, 'freedom.'

'Liberty' connotes something that is 'given' or 'granted.'

Liberty can be immediately taken away by the government even in the most liberal societies on earth. Liberty is a fallacy bevause society ultimately resides on power, and power is what gives certain people their freedom over themselves and over the majority of others. Monopoly of violence.

In a free society, slavery and murder would be technically legal because these are ''crimes of freedom'', and freedom does not acknowledge any crimes.
