When I was 19, (I am 48 now), I crashed my motorcycle, my lings collapsed & I was dead for 46 minutes. As I was trying to breath, I just faded to sleep. When I regained my thought process, I knew right away that I was dead, I remember saying to myself, "I can't believe I'm dead, it's nothing like I thought". I couldn't see anything, but I felt like I was lying in a thick bed of grass, I felt warmth, love and understanding, yet I couldn't open my eyes...pretty much like staring at the Sun and not being able to open your eyes due to the brightness. Just when I thought that I was going to open my eyes, a presence that was standing to my right, I could feel it there, said my name 2 times and told me to get up. At that point I was thrust at a high rate of speed, I saw what was like a controlled thrust through space, I couldn't focus on anything, but I saw stars flashing around me as I passed them and could hear voices, but not make anything said out...much like being in a stadium and the chatter from all over. When I came back into my body, I came in from behind my head, laying on the side of the road, old country road, and in severe pain. I managed to walk about 1/4 of a mile to a store, where upon the clerk saw me and said I looked white as a sheet and called 911. At the ER they confirmed that my lungs had collapsed. At the time I was dying, in my minds eye, I could see both of my lungs collapsing. I have scar tissue right around my solar plexus from the accident. Pretty interesting adventure for me. BTW, returning to my body was a very unpleasant experience, it hurt very bad.

I will post two quick ones -

Listening to Chuck Smith - the original founder of Calvary Chapel - talking on the radio many years ago, about healing prayer. He said he was a young pastor, had never really seen a healing or thought he had a gift of healing or anything, but a distraught woman called him because her young son had an accident, and the tip of his finger had been cut off. They had been unable to attach it again and when he got there to pray for the boy and see what comfort he could provide, the finger tip, with most of the nail, was in a jar. He prayed for healing for the boy, and comforted the distraught mother. A few days later, the mother called and was overjoyed, they had witnessed a miracle - the entire FINGER TIP AND NAIL had grown back - as if it had never been cut off. No lie.

Back around 2002, I was in full kidney failure from other health issues, and it was bad. I was swollen with 55 lbs of fluid, my heart was struggling, I was on horrible medications that were making me sicker, and now my liver was failing. I was a health nut and never used or took anything bad for me, hardly even a Tylenol. The doctors thought I must be a drug addict because my liver enzymes were off the charts and my liver was failing, so they could not give me a type of chemo that can treat my type of kidney failure at the last minute. Well, I got to the ER, and they don't know what to do. I'd just been there the day or two before and they had been trying to drain the fluid in my huge abdomen from the liver failure, but it just came back. So I lay there, after this long health struggle and feeling so tired of it all, and I said to God, this is it, I just cannot take any more, you have GOT to do a miracle now, there is nothing left. So the doctors run some labs on me, and they come back in and tell me, "we cannot explain it - your liver numbers have suddenly normalized". I told them I knew exactly why and I told them about my talk with God - they just looked at me quizzically.

About 8 years later, after several more miracles I won't go into, I was on the transplant list for a very long time, on dialysis too long and suffering a lot of complications. I had gotten many calls over the years about kidneys, but they always call 4-5 candidates for each kidney but the person who is well enough and higher on the list than you gets first shot, so it was never my turn, but I was getting really close. So when I got yet another call one Saturday morning, I didn't know what to think. I had learned not to get my hopes up till it was a sure thing, so when they told me that there was a guy ahead of me for this one and there was a good chance of him getting it, I was like, oh well. So I had a talk with God, as I do often, and asked if this one was mine. I got a firm and simple response, that YES, this WAS going to be my kidney. Then a couple hours later, they called me back and told me that the other guy was taking it, which confused me, but I just let it go. So, the next morning, I'm still lounging at 1pm in my pj's, no energy in my condition, and I get an urgent call from the hospital - they ask how fast I can get over there - the other guy got disqualified - something wrong with him and the kidney was mine. It was sort of good that way anyway, because it all happened so quickly, no time to stress.

I could tell a lot more, but when God is in your life and you let the reigns off, anything can happen, and does.

I have experience several real miracles in my life. The first was when my mother was hospitalized in a comma with Pancreatic Cancer. The Dr. said 90% was metastasized and she would be dead in a few days.

I went to her room with my daughter and she was like a little ball of death. I could hardly recognize her. I knelt down took her hand a started to pray. As I was praying I felt a hand on my shoulder, I didn't open my eyes as I thought is was my daughter. When I completed the prayer my mother sat up and cracked a joke! Her color was back and she looked normal. I turned around to look at my daughter but she wasn't there. As I started to pray she left the room as she was so shocked at seeing her grandmother in that condition. She didn't place her hand on my shoulder!

I got the Dr. and he was surprised that my mother was up and said she felt great. He took me out of the room and explained that a temporary feeling of remission occurs occasionally with severe cancer and that we could take her home to pass away. He gave her 2 days at the most before she would die.

Six months later she was better than she had been for 10 years. The Dr. was perplexed so he did a CAT scan and it showed her pancreas was totally restored! He even said it was as if they transplanted a YOUNG woman's pancreas. The entire hospital was calling her the miracle patient, but most thought the Dr. made a mistake. That is until they saw the video of her operation when he found the pancreas so far gone he couldn't operate.

I have several more but the first is always the most amazing!

About 2 years or so ago a lady i met on the net wrote that she had no food.6 kids husband lost job no food.I told her to have faith.
Heard nothing for about 8 months and now she has cancer. In wheel chair.I was literally flattened by the Spirit so I wrote back to tell her the Spirit had told me she was cured to go to doctor he would confirm. She said when she opened email something like electricity poured through her.

She then (few days later) told me she came from doctor and she was cured. No tumor. She also at that point said about the food that people came from everywhere that day with food.

I have seen my dog instantly cured. Many things.

Started to post this back when you started the thread -- decided against it. But it's true, so here goes.

Living in Tennessee, 7 1/2 months pregnant with first child, had a Toyota Celica and got a complete brake job done on car. Long story short -- driving car back to shop in the morning, going down a steep hill with moguls -- no brakes. Zero brakes. Did my best to out maneuver a wreck, saw a car coming to Tbone me, let go of steering wheel and laid across car seats -- BOOM!!

I saw up, bloody head and banged up, saw an 18-wheeler stop and this huge bearded guy get out. He opened my door, popped my seat back, pulled up my maternity dress (had on a slip), took his huge paw hands and rubbed back and forth from top of belly to bottom, repeated this over and over saying "Think sweet thoughts, little girl. Think sweet thoughts, little girl."

Ambulance pulled up, put me on stretcher, about to load me when I asked if I could thank the truck driver. They said, "What truck driver?" and said I was alone, that they were the first ones to get to me.

Then my baby kicked.

He's now 30. And a navy pilot.

The truck driver was an angel.

Re: Have you ever witnessed a Miracle? I have, more than once. Post it here, if so. I'll start...
Years ago, myself, 2 friends, & our girlfriends went to Gladewater on Pentecost to check out a bud who was starting a Ministry at his place.

Not a group of religious stuff-shirts, were we...
& neither was the guy starting the Ministry (Bro. Ben).

I was in a Metal band, w/ almost waist-length hair, & everyone else was similar.

When we arrived, the girls stayed up by the main bldg to have a look around while us guys went down to the lake (lakeside property,) to fire up the grill.

We hadn't been there for 10 minutes, when a scream came from up the hill where the girls were.

Amy, my bud Joe's soon-to-be wife was the one who had screamed, & when we ran up the hill, we found her holding Christopher, their son, & frantically brushing dozens & dozens of fire-ants off of him.

Christopher was 2 at the time, and deathly allergic to ants & bees. One bite would cause huge swelling & a feverish/allergic-type reaction on a normal day... & he'd stepped right out of the car & into the middle of a fire-ant hill, & had dozens of bites all over him.

By the time we reached them (45 seconds?) Christopher had stopped crying.

He began to have trouble breathing.

Large amounts of fluid started coming from his mouth & nose every time he'd exhale, his breathing sped up terribly, he turned white as a sheet (except the bites, which were already nickel/dime size & red), started sweating & began to visibly stiffen.

I'm telling you, I saw his eyes start to glaze over.

What was happening is that he was going into Anaphylactic Shock.

This baby was dying right before our eyes & there was nothing WE could do, since we were at least 20 miles from the nearest Hospital & the changes I describe happened to him in just a couple of minutes.

It was the WORST thing that could've happened... and calling 911 wasn't even an option.

We ran him inside, stripped him to his underwear (frantic ant search), laid him on the floor & without thinking about it, the four of us (Joe, Ben, Russell, & me) laid our hands on him & began to pray.

Rick stayed outside with the girls, who were all trying to calm Amy.

He was stiff as a board, cold, breathing VERY shallowly & quickly, & staring blankly at the ceiling... at nothing.

Within 30 or so seconds (who knows? It was intense) We watched a LINE, literally a LINE, appear at his feet & begin to move slowly up his body towards his head.

Before the line was dying child, covered in huge red welts...

Behind the line was coloring skin, & disappearing welts...

When the line reached the top of his head, he suddenly jumped up, ran over to the bookshelf, & began pulling books off the shelf... just like a normal 2 yr old.

A fire-ant bite usually showed on this kid for DAYS... red swollen, & irritated... sometimes a single bite would sicken him.

But within 30/45 minutes, the welts had reduced to small pimple-like marks, & were gone almost completely by the following morning.

Instantly & completely healed.

No adverse effects.

I promise this is true.

Needless to say, we left immediately, despite what we'd seen happen, because his parents wanted to get him to a doctor.

We stopped to get gas on the way back & Joe said to me:

"Man, when we were Praying, did you hear Bro. Ben speaking in tongues?"

"It wasn't like when you hear guys on TV do it... fake sounding, it was like music... like a language."

I told him that Ben had done no such thing (none of us did or do), and I knew this, since Ben & I were shoulder-to-shoulder throughout the entire event.

He said "Yes he was!" "It was the loudest thing in the room!"

To convince him, I called Russell, who confirmed what I told him.

I looked at him & (goosebumps here) said "You are the only person I've ever known who heard the VOICE of the Holy Spirit pleading before the Throne for the life of your child.

He could hear it, because he was Christopher's dad, & was frantic for the life of his son.

The doctor gave Christopher some Benadryl, since he couldn't find anything really wrong.

That's one.

On oct. 28th, I took 12 xanax bars and got myself into a situation, i got shot square in the chest with an AK47, the bullet entered where the neck meets my chest, so lower neck i would say, it traveled through my clavicle which shattered, tore my subclavian artery and went through the Brachial Plexus nerves which control my motor movement and feelins for my right arm, it came out my humerous which basically blew it to pieces..., my ball and socket joint is screwed up, and my lung collapsed, i was done for.. after being shot i was beat for a good minute, i was bleeding heavily due to the artery torn which runs to my heart and my shooter did nothing in attempt to save my life, he wanted me dead. Even though I was in the wrong at the time, nobody deserves to die. My body was numb, my chest was hot, and I could feel the blood coming out my mouth, my vision was blacking out, i couldnt feel my arm.. i thought it was hanging loosely in my sleeve, disconnected from my body; but in reality there was just a big fucking whole comming in my chest and out my arm.. I remember yelling for EMS till I couldn't anymore, i don't know if i really was due to my lung, or i was just delusional; i could feel the drugs still in my system, my Blood pressure mustve been seriously fucked up, i noticed i was losing it.. i was sitting, legs out, my back against a wall, i laid my head down on the wood floor, and prepared to die.. i remember still comming in and out of consiousness; the cops, the paramedics.. i was careflighted to Harris Methodist Hospital; i don't remember at all. I remember saying one thing over and over; to whom I don't know. "I'm only 16 I don't wanna die, I'm only 16 , I don't wanna die" I dont remember getting an answer back.. I don't remember seeing any white light;.. no jesus, no god, no clouds, no nothing; just darkness... I woku up from a coma 3 days later; i was so thirsty.. i had a tube going down my throat, i was on life support, IV in my jugular vein, and i couldnt move my right arm at all. I was told by so many doctors It was a miracle that I was alive, doctors and nurses all over the hospital came by to see me,to tell me the same. They almost lost me a couple times; The night that I came in I was lucky.. The trauma, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Neurologist were all in the same place at the same time, which dosent ever happen. I was given 64 UNITS of blood.. I cant believe i'm here writing this with one arm today, I hardly have any feeling or movement in my right arm but I have some.. It's truely a miracle i'm alive, I have 50/50 chance of recovery, i hope that i make it, i spent 27 days in the hospital and 9 in ICU, i've decided to turn my life around and do something different. I have these nasty scars to remind me, which if yall want to see ill upload a picture, that theres more than one way to live life..

Everything that happens to us is a lesson. You were saved in order for you to do the work of God. You need to talk to other young people who get caught up in the game. Show them the correct path. Scrump was so right about you learning this at such a young age. Youth is on your side. Take full advantage of it and pray for what God wants you to be next. You will be the light in many people who are off track.

Thanks for opening this thread Shrump. I'm 71 years of age, been a Christian for 45 years. YES . . .I can write of many MIRACLES during my time on earth, and as time allows I'll come back and do so.

Just one of the miracles was as follows. My daughter who was 34 years old at the time was diagnoised with a 3 centimeter CANCER in the left lobe of her brain. A Cat Scan and two MRI'S showed the cancer. Horrible pain and suffering***

Doctors could do nothing as the cancer was too intertwined in brain. Much PRAYER in tounges and in English; and within three months the mass had reduced by half. Within another three months the CANCER WAS GONE . . . and that was eight years ago.

Melanie is totally cancer free, and the picture of health***

And that is only one of many miracles in my family*******bump

Re: Have you ever witnessed a Miracle? I have, more than once. Post it here, if so. I'll start...
I have had miracles in my life. Long ago, I had moderate high functioning autism. I never made eye contact or talked to anyone. The panel of doctors who diagnosed me at age 5 told my parents that I would probably need to be put away some place, I would never talk to others, never go to college, etc. My mom told the doctors that would never happen. When I was 7 I got a dog named Lady. See, I was obsessed with the movie Lady and the Tramp. I watched it over and over again. So, when I was 7 I went to this pet store that my mom usually complained how they took care of the birds. I was drawn to this dog who looked nothing like in the movie. I started screaming "Lady! Lady!" So, mom bought the dog. Normally I would go to the back of the school bus and not talk to anyone. My vocabulary at age 7 was around 12 words. So, the next day a miracle happened. I went to the front of the bus next to a little girl. I said my first complete sentence. I started making eye contact for the first time. I was coming out of autism (but not all the way). Now I wanted to make friends. Before I didn't care about others and had no emotions. I talked more and more and now I speak at autism conferences to tell my story. Now I talk to everybody. No one suspects autism when they first meet me. The only people who notice it is doctors. I went to college and graduated with honors, something that the original doctors said I would never do. Just in one day it was night and day difference. I was in the local newspaper for this miracle. The dog was sent from God.

Also my mom had many near death experiences with her health. God saved her every time. She has had fevers of 106.5 and survived. One time when her fever was that high, she saw her mother, who died several years before. Then the fever started to go down. Also her lungs were so bad that the doctors gave her 2 years to live. She is still alive now. She had several MRSA infections with the doctors doing emergency surgery telling us they don't think she would make it through the surgery. She made it. This is several times including this year. She is going to have ANOTHER surgery on October 1st. I will pray for her to have an easy surgery. This time its on her neck. She has severe arthritis and according to her blood work she should either be dead or totally crippled. She does most everything. I am scared that our miracles will run out though. I'm having a tough year. I also went psychotic but God saved me from dying as well. I took an overdose. I survived. I nearly walked into traffic under a trance but was pulled away at the last minute by my brother. I could have died if I went into traffic.

So, yeah I had lots of miracles. God is awesome!

A long story short as my battery is bout to die! Left my wife and 3 young girls, tried to go back home after several months, no money or gas. Asked the Lord to get me home, drove from Tyler to Dallas on empty. Drove 3 more days to work on empty. Oh and when I got to Dallas I was sent to a place words cannot describe, void of light, spirit, etc. could not escape, woke up in a complete drinchning sweat. Heart racing in my chest. Relly pissed off the Lord.

Explanation of the above:

When the opening story of the Op happened, I was just turning my life around.

I'd been a hard-partying musician since I was (literally) 13.

Played my first adult club (booze sold) when I was 15... was in that life for another 10 yrs, and when we first started having Bible study/NWO talks at my drummer's house, I'd show up with a pocket full of fatties and a beer in my hand.

When I stopped all that and got serious about God, the attacks began.

You see people here posting about "alien abductions" and "OOBEs" all the time... I knew nothing about either of them at that time.

But what I DID know, was that suddenly, every night when I'd go to sleep, when I'd first drift off something would attack me.

Total terror... feeling of a mass physically on me... unable to wake or scream... loud buzzing in my head... pressure on my chest... a feeling of a presence in the room with me... paralysis... coldness creeping from my extremities towards my core... a feeling of something trying to "get in" and to "pull me out"... abject horror.

And once this began, it would happen EVERY NIGHT... sometimes 10-20 times in a row.

I had many sleepless nights.

And strangely, this most often happened/started at 3AM.

And stranger, I could often see the time on my bedside clock while it was happening, & before I woke up... and when I did wake up, it would be exactly that time.

The worst time, and the time I discovered (was given) the cure, I actually began to be dragged from my body... I saw myself (half of me anyway, I never made it all the way out) on my bed as I was being pulled through the top of my head.

Suddenly, and let me stress that I'd never thought to do this before, I yelled (internally) "GET OFF ME IN THE NAME OF JESUS!" "BEGONE!"

I'd never said or thought those words in my life... especially "begone"... but the instant that I said it, it was if something reached into the room and yanked the thing that was attacking me, off of me.

It stopped immediately... and didn't happen again that night.

It tried a few more times after that... but once I discovered that power, I'd use it as soon as the attack would begin, and it would stop in its tracks and not return.

And shortly, the attacks stopped completely (after 2 years of torment) and have never happened again.

There's POWER in His Name.
I am a Christian.

Re: Have you ever witnessed a Miracle? I have, more than once. Post it here, if so. I'll start...
It was a pleasant sunny day, I was at work, outside in a public area, servicing a piece of electro-mechanical equipment.

I had the access panels taken off, a clip-board in my hand, a couple of safety cones set-up, and was examining the device.

I had sun-glasses on, and a pair of light-weight headphones on with a small pocket radio listening to a Christian radio show.

I was totally immersed in examining the device, and listening to the radio, and was oblivious to anything else around me.

Out of nowhere this guy walks up to me about six feet away points a handgun at my chest and says "All Right Fucker".

It looked like he made two attempts to pull the trigger, and nothing happened.

I Said, "Hey, Hey, Hey, wait a second there, you got the wrong idea", "I'm supposed to be here".

He sort of shrugged, and shoved the handgun in his waist-band.

I pulled my headphones down around my kneck, pushed the sun-glasses up on my forehead, looked him straight in the eye, and proceeded to show this person my paperwork, and what I was examining with regard to this device.

After about a minute of talking to him he said "Oh, all-right" then he walked away.

The whole episode was a sort of dream-like feeling to it, I had drifted into some sort of shock.

After the guy walked away, another person who was nearby watching this walked up to me and said, "dude I thought you were going to get shot"?

I just said, "Yeah that was kinda weird wasn't it"? The guy who saw this also said, "That dude looked like he was covered with blood".

I had noticed the guy with the gun did have what appeared to be some sort of splatter on him, but I was in shock and during the episode, did not register in my mind.

The guy who saw all of this was in shock as well, and he just kind of walked away in a trance-like state, got in his car and left.

I finished the job, which was a minor fault, and closed up the device and left.

I didn't hardly think about it the rest of the day, but when I got home I was watching the news, and saw that someone had gone on a murder spree, but I still didn't put two and two together.

It was about 10 days later when I saw the guy on T.V. at his arraignment, that I realized it was the same guy I had met at that job I was working.

This guy had shot and killed about 5 people that day, including a Police Officer, after his rampage, and a man-hunt, he turned himself into the Police.

At his hearings he was ranting that he was, "Doing the work of the Lord", and he was "Killing Evil".

The dude has been committed to a Mental Institution for life.

There it is? A Miracle of sorts, for me perhaps, not-so, for the other unfortunate victims.

Without going into to much detail, I have prayed for something while talking to someone online/over the phone, and have seen things happened that I prayed for without ever voicing what I was praying about. The person told me what was happening with no knowledge of what I was doing. Prayer is a powerful tool that we don't use correctly, it can make anything happen (in His will).
 Quoting: Gradient

Drove with my mother to visit my aunt-by marriage- in mother's hometown 11/2 hours drive away. Aunt was so sweet to me and said how radiant and lovely I seemed to her. I'd begun to believe in God, and that life had meaning since seeing her previously. She told us the churches in town were a joke, described some touching problems with distant family members, and said that she'd been told-medically- that she absolutely must quit smoking, but knew there was no hope for that and had no intention of even trying.
Driving home , I prayed for her- that she would be blessed, and feel God's love for her, and that she would quit smoking. I then completely forgot the whole thing until about 3 weeks later when my mother told me she'd happened to talk to someone else from her hometown (in itself, rather unusual) on the phone, and the big news in town was that my aunt had quit smoking "and no one could believe it !" I didn't say a word, but I 'knew'.
Maybe 10 years later, at my mother's burial in that town, my aunt seemed kind of cranky with me. We'd had absolutely no contact since visit before, and I think the conventional way of regarding our branch of family was as the [relatively] "big city" snobs with fancy educations, etc, that neglected their small town roots. (Never mind that they never, ever contacted us either!) I mentioned I'd heard she quit smoking, and she looked at me with the strangest expression and said that she "just quit one day, and never desired another cigarette from that moment forward". Even she seemed to feel it was downright eerie and 'haunted' somehow, and she looked into my eyes to make sure I got the drift of what a weird thing this was, that she'd had the distinction to experience.
She told me then that she'd been smoking since she was fourteen and "worked in tobacco" every summer on her grandparents' tobacco farm, and had gone on to work for a tobacco company a lot of her adult life.
About five years after that she died. I'd come back from a late afternoon Sunday dinner at a restaurant, and as we turned into the driveway to our house I began remembering all of this I've just related, and then sat in the car by myself a few minutes after we parked, moved to pray for her. I found out a few days later, at her funeral, that was exactly when she had died.

That's one.

Scrump I am an anaphylactic. Imagine that! I was raised after 9 yrs of age by my mother's mother my grandmother. She was a strict woman who grew up in the great depression. My parents were juvenile delinquents who thank God divorced my father beat us daily as my mother complained to him in a druken state we caused all the problems my 3 siblings and me( even she was sorry for all the parties and dresses she gave my mother) children of great depression parents. They were all very very wealthy from founded oil companies on both sides of the family in Texas.
I would go to my Gram and tell her Gram I cannot breath and she would see the swelling in my eyes and face and lips and God bless her strict soul all she knew to say was..." put cold water on your face you got too hot from running around like you always do and you will be fine"
