Maybe you could sell it for her on GLP ? Sorry, but all honey does not share the same properties. All honey has some hydrogen peroxide in it, which varies from each type of honey. Manuka honey is pollen gathered from the New Zealand manuka Tree or, Leptospermum scoparium Its basically a type of tea tree. Only honey made from Leptospermum scoparium plants will contain this antibacterial, that they know of so far. When you buy Manuka honey it will have a UMF rating on it. This shows how much of the active bacteria is in it. Last Edited by Kalivar on 03/14/2012 07:27 AM |

In the UK you can get a good range of honey, almonds etc from Holland & Barrett. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is good. |

Judethz User ID: 5159851 United Kingdom 03/14/2012 07:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah but as you might guess the Chinese have managed to flood the market with a cheap inferior product. Basically the bees get the nectar from sugar water (or something like that) from sugar refineries. So you get this watery cheap crap with no goodness in it. In fact I was suspicious of it when it first appeared on the supermarket shelves several years ago. The stuff appeared very runny inside the jars. But the other big give a way was the price. It was obvious to me that something so cheap had something wrong with it. Turned out I was right because I read an article about it a few weeks ago. |

Koran: [016:068] And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build: [016:069] Then eat of all the fruits and walk in the ways of your Lord submissively. There comes forth from within it a beverage of many colours, in which there is healing for men; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. |

Maybe you could sell it for her on GLP ? I met a beekeeper in AZ, he has African Killer Honey Bees. He told me the propulis was a very strong. I have a bottle of it, he said start off with a little on my finger and build up. I haven't tried it. I think the beekeeping business would be pretty rewarding. I know they truck bees to farms in California, 400 hives on one truck. |

[link to www.bladeforums.com] - Excerpt from "Ditch Medicine" by Hugh L. Coffee But back to honey, it's been marketed as a topical antiseptic and anti-bacterial here in Aus for quite a few years now under the name of Medihoney - [link to www.thehoneyfarm.com.au] Sugar, honey... both hardcore antibiotics which also promote healing of traumatic wounds with minimal scarring. Both more effective than the chemicals churned out by the pharmaceutical industry for mega-bucks. Just keep in mind these are a TOPICAL antibiotic, meaning it is applied directly to wounds and sores. Don't expect to be able to down a couple of teaspoons of honey and cure cancer or stupidity. |
