re User ID: 951892 United Kingdom 04/24/2010 11:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | heres how it happenned dinosaurs caused global warming - global warming increases asteroid meteorite strike rate - asteroid strike then nuclear winter and dinosaur deaths...! Shouldnt need to tell you over and over again. Global warming ALWAYS caused by primitve life ... ! regards Jules |

Shouldnt need to tell you over and over again. Global warming ALWAYS caused by primitve life ... ! regards Jules i hate to say it to you but i completly disagree with you, global warming somehow sucks in asteroids? the simple answer is nibiru, i think that with all these mass extinctions and the increase in how ripidly they happen are because the brown dwarf is getting slowly sucked into our sun, so the orbit is decreased greatly every rotation and will eventualy merge with or destroy our sun. Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of universal responsobility, not only nation to nation, and human to human, but also human to other forms of life - Dalai Lama |

Quoting: vege22o[link to www.telegraph.co.uk] Actually recently scientist groups came to the conclusion that is was, in fact, an asteroid that would have wiped them out.. that's the official word now. Of course, that was the trigger.. the event would have caused, among other things, a global "nuclear winter", killing much of the large life, if the firestorms from the blasted molten rock raining from the sky didn't get em.. Good times. Last Edited by nomind on 04/24/2010 01:04 PM My Interesting Karma messages: - "You are an idiot. This post proves it." -"GLP MEMBERS BEWARE!!! nomind User ID: 904314 Canada 04/24/2010 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | But wouldn't a comet impact not throw several tons of biomass into the atmosphere, resulting in a massive temperature drop? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 377641Exactly.. that's a symptom, not the cause, even if it was a supervolcano and not a meteorite (at that particular incident, supervolcanos were involved elsewhere in different eras) My Interesting Karma messages: - "You are an idiot. TheWholeTruth User ID: 932522 United States 04/24/2010 01:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You guys ever hear of the KT boundary? Its an inch or so of soil that tells the story of 65 million years ago. This inch of soil is high in irridium and is located over most of the world...HOWEVER its highest concentrations are in Mexico where a HUGE crater exists at the edge of the penninsula there. This Asteroid caused the crater, and the KT boundary... but it ALSO caused the sun to be blocked out for months if not years, which caused extreme global cooling. So yes, most dinos died from global cooliing, HOWEVER this was a result of the Asteroid impact. Interestingly... The Deccan Trapps in India is a Huge Supervolcano that had a huge release during this time, however most evidence suggests that it was a lava spewing event rather than an eruption. |
