If they don't cap it soon ----- we will probably see great balls of fire. |

I have been thinking of the oil wells that were deliberately lit after the first Gulf war - this could be almost just what the terrorists are looking for. How hard would it be, considering the massive area covered, for some terrorists to start it burning? Especially after it makes full landfall! It would be almost impossible to put out. |

It could become A lake of fire, but not THE lake of fire. THAT lake is a supernatural (though real) lake that burns forever, containing the Antichrist, False Prophet, Devil, and all the bodies of the damned. Quoting: Dread Pirate RobertsFurther, the lake of fire burns with brimstone (sulfur) not oil It is found in Revelation--"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. Anonymous Coward User ID: 965641 United States 05/09/2010 08:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its interesting that more and more stories are now referring to it as a volcano of oil NEW ORLEANS, May 9, 2010 -- It's official -- the oil is coming ashore. Not in great black waves. In smaller globs and of course the well-known rainbow sheen seen in mud puddles and now in a patch big as Texas out in the Gulf of Mexico below New Orleans, near the Mouth of the Mississippi River. The question is, will this unprecedented disaster develop into something as big as Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, in 2005? Those gigantic hurricanes washed away coastal small towns from Alabama to Texas. They flooded 80 per cent of New Orleans, and caused the more-or-less total evacuation of a great American city, something not seen since Sherman burned Atlanta. The economic wreck was huge. Will that -- or worse -- now happen because of this volcano of oil gushing up from the ocean's floor over one mile below the surface? No one here knows, of course. But everyone worries. Anonymous Coward User ID: 779893 United States 05/09/2010 10:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | lake of fire is certainly a spiritual place, no one knows where it is, but its an eternal place...to think long after the saviour returns tosses the beast and false prophet into the lake of fire, then reigns on earth ...satan gets thrown in the can for 1000 years, then let loose then he gets tossed into the lake aswell...then somewhere inbetween theres judgement day where the book of life is opened and again some make it some dont, then a new heaven (im probably wrong but i believe heaven defines the 3 heavens, the sky, space and then some other place -- everything above earth) and a new earth - so everthing we know as heaven/space and the earth vanishes/dies/ends.....and still.......after all that......the lake of fire is still roasting away 4 ever. Quoting: Sandi 828421did i read the news correctly a while ago when someone somewhere said the catholic church had removed the lake of fire from their bible or something? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 961360The sea turned black. According this report NPR reports. That figure is at least 10 times the U.S. Coast Guard's original estimate of the flow, and "the equivalent of one Exxon Valdez tanker every four days." And nobody really knows where it is, or where it's headed. Seriously if that much oil leaks like that for months into the Gulf it could be dense enough to ignite and the fire would be enormous and toxic clouds of smoke would go on the wind currents across the US and poison everything the waters plants animals peoples, is this possible? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 969017 United States 05/14/2010 03:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its going to be ignited alright and its never going to be put out either. England is as far north as Moscow yet is much warmer all because of the warm Gulf Stream. The Magnetic Pole is shifting and the ice is building on the pacific North and melting on the Atlantic North. As the ice in the Atlantic falls into the Atlantic Ocean it cools the surface water down....it makes the Salt water sink and the fresh colder water from the ice rise to the surface. Eventually the Gulf Stream slows down and England goes into a ice age. The solution is to ignite the oil in the Gulf and get it hot enough to force the Gulf Stream through the fresh water to save england [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] So why would the U.S. sacrifice the Gulf to save England? because the Queen owns the U.S. and we obey her commonds.
