While I'm talking about this, and this is my post i am quoting, I believe that like it or not (and I don't) oil is life or death for a country, and lack of oil can not only cause the death of a nation but slavery of it's people (those left alive), so yes, this oil well is most likely life & death for us...and we all should be praying that they get it stopped and harnessed today.

Well, I at least hope this works. We all have to. I guess plan C is the 'blasting garbage' method, and I don't want it to come to that.

To answer your comment about the ethanol antifreeze, yea it might work, to an extent. but as soon as the pressure from the leaking oil and methan purges the box of all ethanol... guess what? same shit different day scenario.

Take all of your NEGATIVE energy and START rooting for them to SUCCEED QUICKLY, and hope and pray no more people lose their lives over this, I guarantee that many men are risking their lives to stop this leak & harness the oil. When the President of our country deploys troops to GUARD the rest of our oil supplies/wells that says all that needs to be said as far as I'm concerned. Someone took this well out.. This was a crippling act of sabotage against the United States of America IMO, and right now, the BEST OF THE BEST are going to fix it, and I am pulling for them every step of the way, and I wish them Godspeed and that they would all be safe.

Yes, the reality is, wasn't there another field that BP was preparing to head off to prior to the explosion? They were going to cap that one and move to another. The reserves that BP owns in the Gulf go well beyond this oilfield. The posters prayers for "oil is life or death" were are already answered and they didn't even know it.

Your hubris (not to mention your need to believe that someone else did this) is no different that the oil industries need to believe that "mistakes can't happen anymore because of the engineering we have". They do not know how to fix "accidents" like this, because they believed it would never happen in the first place. They (the head brass) had no engineering plans in place. Get what the old "pride cometh before a downfall" means now?
