From what I gather (which probably doesn't mean much) is that facebook was being attacked...something was "crawling"
through their systems, so facebook started shutting down servers. Is this a correct assumption, based on what the OP at the glp thread was stating his info was?

a crawler is an advanced spider prog

not only it references a database but can dump the database info to remote site
the only thing to do is to 'pull the plug' on the servers affected

i think the point here is that we had forewarning of the attack over the web (friends told me of troubles with many sites incl troubles i had with imageshack)

one more thing

this peaked my interest

The telecommunication level 3 may be correct, but let's not forget that Louisiana is a level 3 bio hazard now also. And, there appears to be something affecting the fish on all side of the US and, around the world.

I saw that post... What I thought was interesting are what look like tracks going into or out of the dark crevice.

I saw that post... What I thought was interesting are what look like tracks going into or out of the dark crevice.

I think this is a really unusual shot, with a lot going on, and it is applicable to this thread. The tracks remind me of the areas of the ocean bottom where underwater volcanoes form, like out in the mid-Atlantic.

The tracks are interesting and it is unfortunate you cannot zoom in on this image as the real interesting part is the dark object veryobviously coming up out of the sea floor. I don't know how to send the image so that you can enlarge it but if you would send me instructions I would be happy to redo the photo.
