I have watched marinetraffic at fairly regular times and have not found any research type activity over the area of the plume-reef which, as AM states, is generally the area where the most of the undersea pipe highway extends.

The interest seems to be over and between the domes. The Gyre has circled easterly of the dome today.


I am saying that I have seen slow movement of these ships over the area to the south of the Discoverer Enterprise and the west of the wellhead. I think we are talking past each other about specific areas, we are seeing the same thing! :)



AM, can you, or any other reader, look at the terrain on marinetraffic and describe the location of the 22-mile plume reef relative to the major domes?

I have not been able to understand why there is so little apparent interest in the plume and its texture and contents. Do they think they have it figured out? Or, due to limited resources and a higher priority, time is spent over and between the domes?


Someone posted a while back on some GOM thread that he had info that there are 38 active hydrocarbon "vents" that do not have any kind of piping or production casing on them at all. I speculate that this plume is actually *fresh oil* from these vents, which are in turn on the domes. I also suspect that some kind of incomplete industrial remediation has been done to try to limit the damage of these vents, or hide them, such as a permanent underwater collection or disperasant system or both.

I would expect that they are taking close inspections of this equipment as well as trying to gage what the geological conditions are on the sea-floor, since apparently, there has been significant destabilization, maybe even enough to disrupt the installed equipment.

Once the oil is in the water, BP doesn't really care about it, so the focus is on the fresh hydrocarbon sources.

She was explaining about gram-negative and gram-positive.

In Sri Lanka thick and thin coconut oil is freshly made daily in the home and the food is delicious. A good Sri Lankan cook book would have some tasty delights, sweet and savory!!!

Just a thought I had and maybe someone else has posted the same but looking through the retrospectoscope I do not believe that the well could not have been capped sooner. It spewed oil and GAS for weeks on end and the GAS WAS A MAJOR COMPONENT! I really think it was allowed to continue as a relief valve to delay the BIG BANG that sooner or later is going to happen whether we like it r not unless they find a way to draw off that gas!.Any takers???????????

That does not answer the reason for allowing gas to escape, which allows water to push into the reservoir for much more serious problems, which is my understanding of the issue.

Due to late capping and no other resolution at an earlier time, sea water and pushed into the reservoir causing much greater and impossible-to-resolve problems.

Ok, here are some names of the boats involved in this operation, just to name a few: Nikola (Tesla), Helix (sun/son and spiral) Producer, Pope Benedict, La Madonna, Toisa Pisces, Pisces, and the Abdon (10th judge of Israel) and now we have the Gyre (spiral).

Also, there is the War Admiral, which I can confirm to you via a thread I can find if I have to that this boat was doing southern pointing triangles around the whole area these ships were clustered on the day they were changing the BOP.
