Hydrothermal vents on the deep ocean floor are believed by many to be the cradle for early life. Now a team led by Ryuhei Nakamura at the University of Tokyo in Japan have uncovered evidence that such vents can generate electrical currents. They say these currents could have helped generate the complex carbon-based molecules that came together to produce life, as well as provide it with a handy power supply.

Vents bring minerals containing iron, copper and sulphur from deep inside the Earth's crust to the seabed. The minerals possess an excess of electrons, so Nakamura's team wanted to find out whether these electrons could generate an electric current in the vent.

We seem to be having a counter weather event here in aus as often seems to happen. We have had the wettest spring in over 100 years. In its self that is not unusual as we have just come out of one of the biggest droughts recorded.El nino/nina etc.
But what i want to say is ,west new south wales is flooding as i write this AND behind this is another frontal system that early signs are showing an even larger rain event. Some models at this stage have scary signs. but as this is early things can change dramaticaly.
Just wantd to point out the bi-pole nature of some weather events and give everyone a heads up. hope im wrong.

The question of the earth's frequency has come up on this thread, and on a number of other threads over recent years.

Generally, and perhaps Aco is speaking of the same, the reference is to the Schumann Resonance, which is supposed to be at around 7 - 8 mhz, and on the increase to some magic number at around 13 mhz. For these several years, no government information has been available on the Schumann Resonance frequency. Only amateurs appear to be referring to increased frequency of earth vibration.

Again, and again, requests have been made for confirmation of this discussion of earth' frequency, but nothing I know has ever been forth-coming.
