Idiots Fearfully Hate the URANTIA papers!

not me, I've been reading it since 1991 and it changed my life 1000% for the better.

I don't hate them. Never read them. Even so, how could someone hate writings?

One could chose to agree or disagree - but hate?

fun to read channels from back in the day and the metaphors they had to use to describe reality...

it actually connected the scientific dots of god, man the Universe havona and the history of Urantia.

The science in it is flawless, though there are gaps.

and I get excited daily thinking about the 100 different kinds of space energy hitting us, and we have only learned to identify and use less than 30....

a lot left to discover.

Too true, I only wish the planet and its people would awaken to the reality of the UB. Guess we'll have to wait for the next revelation, but I don't think this is a far way off.

There are those that believe the "bible" book authored by men and a church is the "end all and be all" of the revealing of God upon earth. Anything that comes against this unrealistic illusion they hold is hated and challenged with malice and contempt.

urantia makes me unconvinces cuz it has a sort of christian beliefs attached to it

its kind of boring the way its written. it can open your mind a little but don't get to carried away with it op. its just another fictionalized account of "THINGS".

People like you and I unfortunatly will be needed to assist the massive transition, consider us central guides thrugh limbo into the next incarnation for those deemed enlightened enough but not spiritually atoned yet. And thanks to this revelation today about this urianta book. I now have my final puzzle piece, ad what I need to d in order to completly wield that which I know is mine to wield. Yes, but that's because "christians" talk alot about what they know little of. Just becase christians are ignorant of the truth of what they talk about doesn't make the pearl of truth untrue. It just makes the pearl cast before the swine.

glancing and turning pages and skipping sections is not reading.

you have to read it, assimilate it and let the truths sift in your mind.

and granted IT EVEN SAYS, some of the information contained is beyond the capability of a two brained human to fully comprehend.

I've studied it pretty intently for years.

My big point is that "the bible" has "prophets of God" that are a rose by any other name. Prophets "channeled" the word of God to men.

I am sorry that has been your experience and I have experienced similar responses in my walk in life. I think people are all at different levels in their spiritual maturity and can sometimes say/act in a way which is offensive to others, not for want, but for lack of maturity. I know I am still maturing in my faith and the ability to convey it in a manner which befits its author.

Of the people I speak to who would call themselves believers in the "bible", most do speak about other books being inferior or heap attacks against them. Rather those believers find sufficiency in the Bible alone.

only the premise that god, the mind adjuster, encircuited via the mind gravity circuits, lives in the citadel of man.

most if not all channelings are misleading. a lot, if not most of channelings are black operations, possession of manipulative spirits, and shams. even the highest regarded channeled material, the law of one, contains major falsehoods and fallacies (same with ashayana deane, a course in miracles, etc. etc.). i believe it is the same with urantia, which is very much like the fake course in miracles which claimed to be channeled from the Logos "Jesus Christ" himself. Jesus the Logos is long gone, for he was the last adam.

this is only my take on it. most stuff out there is mind control and should be taken with a grain of salt.

truth is to be experienced and the closer you are to the third circle, the more your would understand this.

132:3.5 But truth can never become man's possession without the exercise of faith. This is true because man's thoughts, wisdom, ethics, and ideals will never rise higher than his faith, his sublime hope. And all such true faith is predicated on profound reflection, sincere self-criticism, and uncompromising moral consciousness. Faith is the inspiration of the spiritized creative imagination.

132:3.6 Faith acts to release the superhuman activities of the divine spark, the immortal germ, that lives within the mind of man, and which is the potential of eternal survival. Plants and animals survive in time by the technique of passing on from one generation to another identical particles of themselves. The human soul (personality) of man survives mortal death by identity association with this indwelling spark of divinity, which is immortal, and which functions to perpetuate the human personality upon a continuing and higher level of progressive universe existence. The concealed seed of the human soul is an immortal spirit. The second generation of the soul is the first of a succession of personality manifestations of spiritual and progressing existences, terminating only when this divine entity attains the source of its existence, the personal source of all existence, God, the Universal Father.

132:3.7 Human life continues—survives—because it has a universe function, the task of finding God. The faith-activated soul of man cannot stop short of the attainment of this goal of destiny; and when it does once achieve this divine goal, it can never end because it has become like God—eternal.

132:3.8 Spiritual evolution is an experience of the increasing and voluntary choice of goodness attended by an equal and progressive diminution of the possibility of evil. With the attainment of finality of choice for goodness and of completed capacity for truth appreciation, there comes into existence a perfection of beauty and holiness whose righteousness eternally inhibits the possibility of the emergence of even the concept of potential evil. Such a God-knowing soul casts no shadow of doubting evil when functioning on such a high spirit level of divine goodness.

132:3.9 The presence of the Paradise spirit in the mind of man constitutes the revelation promise and the faith pledge of an eternal existence of divine progression for every soul seeking to achieve identity with this immortal and indwelling spirit fragment of the Universal Father.

132:3.10 Universe progress is characterized by increasing personality freedom because it is associated with the progressive attainment of higher and higher levels of self-understanding and consequent voluntary self-restraint. The attainment of perfection of spiritual self-restraint equals completeness of universe freedom and personal liberty. Faith fosters and maintains man's soul in the midst of the confusion of his early orientation in such a vast universe, whereas prayer becomes the great unifier of the various inspirations of the creative imagination and the faith urges of a soul trying to identify itself with the spirit ideals of the indwelling and associated divine presence.

there are as many ways to knowing god as there are people and the Urantia book states that. the relationship you create, is yours and you made it.

choose your own means and methods.

some people do something totally different. I can tell you that it is the greatest collection of pure truth, history of our planet ( it's a great history book ) and the clearest understanding of the universe I have found.

you may not think that, but you can't say it's not until you read it, and at least try to understand it.

but the urantia book is a lot more than that. But if you haven't read it, you have no basis for conversation as it's just another book.
