I'm starting to wonder if the x-ray machine stores images and can "see" or identify more than we think.

How convenient to have our little ones (and us as well) recorded in this manner. Kind of like cattle, right?

It has been demonstrated that the x-ray machines store and can transmit the images. Apologies, cannot look for a link right now; maybe later when I am able.

No, most know it is a joke but it is still a sad statement of a possible reality. Don't you get that? That's just sad. Again see the above quote..."often that said in jest is meant in earnest".

And seriously, 30% on this thread thought the book was real.
I don't care what kind of silly little quote you provide, this equals to 30% of GLPers being to naive to see an obvious parody.

Re: TSA's new book for kids: "My First Cavity Search"
Too many Americans do not have a clue what TSA is doing in the airport. They have a SAFE area of the airport where people are all certified as clear of weapons and explosives.

That SAFE area is beyond the screening area and is where you board the planes. The unsafe area of the airport is in front of the screening area extending all the way outside to the streets on the side of the Airport.

When you go to the Airport you are not safe until after you have been screened. Even then you are not safe until you are far away from any unsafe area as a truck bomb outside or an exploding unscreened passenger inside can kill a hell of a lot of people nearby. In the past few years tons of explosives have been stolen from mining and other companies that use them. Al Quaeda is going to use some of them soon somewhere in the United States.

Everybody and everything needs to be screened for weapons, potential weapons and explosives. That means your 82 year old grandma in her wheelchair has to be screened. Not that she herself is a threat, but something on her person can be, and that could have been planted by a caretaker of a crazy relative who is traveling with her. That three year old can also be a carrier. That baby in the arms of its mother can be a carrier. In Indonesia and Malaysia they have bought babies from poor families and killed the infants, hollowed them out and filled their bodies with whatever to get the items on the plane. This has been done many times. Screeners are trained to make certain the baby is alive even if it is in the mother's arms.

One bomb can ruin your entire flight.

Whatever. Possible reality? If you're an idiot I suppose it could be a possible reality. Backlash against the TSA, and their general incompetence, is already there and growing every day. Brush off those critical thinking skills and piece it together. Oh wait, GLP is where critical thinking comes to die, what WAS I thinking. My bad. Carry on.

You know I have been thinking about the new pat downs and the full body scanners, and I might be willing to allow some poor government worker to have to stare at my naked body in a tv screen, or subject myself to extreme radiation, or bite my tongue and suffer the indignity of the new pat down to fly somewhere I really really needed to go or wanted to be and could only fly to......BUT WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE PARENTS TO DO WITH THE KIDS! I'd be damn if any of the choices are ok for my kids!

This whole thing is an outrage and we all need to stand up and stop it!

Why don't the TSA people say no to doing it? Just shows what types the TSA agents are...or they are people desperate not to loose their much needed jobs and that makes it just sad!
A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.
