While I agree with you, and hate people who use the term "people food", there are some things you just shouldn't let a dog eat. Like chocolate, that really can kill them.

That's not really the case though. In smaller dogs yes it can be very harmful but with larger dogs that's not really the case. I remember my first dog growing up easily went through 4 batches of brownies and countless bags of Oreos. He would sniff chocolate out of anywhere. He would get up on the counters (which are 5 feet off the ground) and get into the food cupboards and get the oreos. 120 pound GSP who lived 16 years. Died peacefully in his sleep. That dog was a machine. haha

Please be CAREFUL with people food! Many foods such as chocolate (as most know) can be poison to your dog as well as grapes! Also, many of the seasoning in people food can hurt their very sensitive tummies! It is often tempting to humanize them, as they are so very cute and have such expressive faces...and those eyebrows!! I know it's cute- but giving your dog people food can also lead to begging. Not a desirable quality in a pet. Or in my situation a service dog. Cyrus, Service Dog Extraordinaire, can indeed get morsels at a diner under the table, (he's a smart stinker of a yellow lab). Here's the real trouble- Once you actually give your dog people food, it's unfair to correct him/her later. You set him/her up. You created the problem. It's YOUR fault, the next time you decide he/she shouldn't have any. Please think ahead & don't set your dog up to disappoint you for your choices.

Actually dog food is incredibly unhealthy for dogs. Do the research, there were cases where dog meat was found in big name brands of dog food.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOGS CHEAP KIBBLE DOG FOOD

If you eat healthy food, then it is healthy for the dog. Processed food which is bad for you, will also be bad for the dog.

There are now brands of dog food that actually are kept in the fridge at pet stores. This is one of the healthiest things to feed your dog.
