Quoting: Anonymous Coward 959838[link to www.newsmax.com] If it is true that these American farmers were singled out because of their skin color, then they are absolutely due compensation. Of all institutions in this country, you would think that Departments of the Federal Government would obey the Constitution. Discrimination is illegal and has no place in America. However, this is probably just another ploy by this Administration aimed at dividing Americans. Tulips over here! Roses over there! |

I've suffered loan discrimination, I'm told I have no credit, which I need to get a credit card to establish some, which they say no to because I have no credit. Somebody give me 27.5 Million dollars! |

I don't think we even need to discuss the accusations concerning Indians being screwed out of their royalties. But it's a shame the background story is missing from both Newsmax's and Bloomberg's articles concerning the accusations of black farmers because racists will take this like the government is holding a charity-fair. But the fact is a couple of generations ago black farmers were denied farm loans or subjected to longer waits for loan approval. On top of that they got the worst pieces of land available. Todays generation of black farmers who inherited those pieces of land are still dealing with the consequences. |

We are discriminated against constantly and just have to suck it up and deal with it. Skin color should have no place in politics, period. This is just another way to steal from the working man. Most of the people getting this money aren't even farmers. To qualify, all you have to do is grow a potted plant! Fair is fair and I do not wish discrimination on people of any color. True equality is when you fill out a form and your race isn't a question on it. Until then, it's governmental favoritism. |

I agree, that if they were victims themselves, then sure. They deserve some kind of compensation. But that's a shit load of farmers who are being paid here. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1005775 United States 12/21/2010 12:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this is old news. The actual conspiracy of the whole ordeal is that there arent 70,000 black farmers listed in America!!! Reparations scam? I think so. I also think that the person responsble for the original reparations bill was asked to hold off on the cutoff date for people to apply by none other than? Eric holder and obama themselves. before the cut off date there were only like 15,000 applications. Now, suddenly there's over 70,000 black farmers needing reparations? Keep in mind that these reparations are for farmers who where denied loans from the feds based on race. how is it that an additional 45,000 people suddenly became farmers AND were denied loans within a matter of months? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! This whole country is one big scam. |
