No shit, the magnetic field weakens, you get more cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere. You've got the cart before the horse. It's up to YOU to prove that the motion of the solar system itself took it through interstellar clouds during every reversal. That was your claim for a cause effect relationship, so prove it.

So what's the direct consequences of cosmic ray and a mega CME hitting the earth with a weakened magnetic field? Taking out satellites and power grids for sure but what else? Will the electronics be fried as well (even if they are turned off)? Any direct harm to lifeforms? Will the cosmic ray / CME directly kill organisms or the earthquake and volcano and tsunami will do the job? If we are talking a 'reset' then the death toll should be billions instead of millions.

Also, something else to think about is that prior to roughly 5,000 yrs ago archeologists have found no evidence of mankind living above ground.. today we think of "cave men" as less intelligent, but what if the reason they lived in caves and underground is because the last pole reversal cycle made living above ground too deadly? Yes its a theory, but one that has merit.. perhaps pole reversal could explain alot about why many civillisations that are spoken of in myths and legends have not had physical evidence shown.. maybe the weakening of the magnetic protection from the sun is what wiped out who knows how many 'civillisations' in the past 100,000 years.. its just a thought.

I already explained how our history of pole reversals does not match with the time span we've been in the local bubble, nor did we experience a pole flip 44000-150000 years ago when we first encountered the local fluff despite being long over-due for a pole flip already. You're desperately searching for any quote you can mine to try to support your pet theory all the while evidence against it is staring you in the face.
