zacksavage User ID: 7914608 United States 02/23/2012 12:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I heard the reference to Crystal field once at the tail end of the video pertaining to Mars. Quoting: Redpaw360 I believe it would be in reference to crystalline structures found trapped in the igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and layers observed by our space craft. Interesting. I found this speculation of the earth's core being solid crystal. [link to www.psc.edu] Whether or not this is a field or not,... Don't know. Don't know. Z Personally after reading the article, I came to the conclusion as they are not referencing a crystal as in Quartz Crystal, but as in Crystalline Form under unknown pressure they think may be there. Early statements in the study use alot of speculation as a fact when worded like the opening sentence "There's a giant crystal buried deep within the Earth, at the very center, more than 3,000 miles down" and then we get wording like "even though the temperature is believed to exceed 11,000 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than the surface of the sun".... The article further falls apart with statements of supercomputers can't quite do these computations yet..... but were guessing anyways. To this closing befuddlement: Could an iron ball 1,500 miles across be a single crystal? Unheard of until this work, the idea has prompted realization that the temperature-pressure extremes of the inner core offer ideal conditions for crystal growth. Several high-pressure laboratories have experiments planned to test these results. A strongly oriented inner core could also explain anomalies of Earth's magnetic field, such as tilted field lines near the equator. "To do these esoteric quantum calculations," says Stixrude, "solutions which you can get only with a supercomputer, and get results you can compare directly with messy observations of nature and help explain them... The Inner Earth is still complete speculation, and a computer will spit out ANY answer that agrees with the parameter set that it was programmed to analyze....BUT it sure won't tell you if you are missing data fields or bending the laws of physics at a minimum to get your funding money. We still don't know about Temperature/Pressure Extremes and speculate as to if they exist within our core. MarkinAZ User ID: 20006444 United States 11/11/2012 03:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Those of us who were born in the 1950's and 60's can remember the sunlight itself being a very different color than it is today. The sun was always a soft golden color and its light - whether bright or dim - depending on time of day - always had this "softer" and less harsh quality to it. Today, direct sunlight is almost blue-white like those too bright Xenon or Halogen auto headlights. Also, if you're fair-skinned, being in the direct sun for even a few minutes today is almost painful! It was NEVER like that when we were kids. Not even close! I've spoken to many friend/peers about this and the unanimously agree that the brightness and spectrum of light from the sun that is now reaching the earth is VASTLY brighter, and contains more UVA and UVB than anything we can remember from our childhood or early adulthood. Most seem to recall the changes started to take place in the late 1970's and got worse thru the 80's and 90's and are getting even brighter and worse now! Frankly, we miss our familiar "golden rays of sun" and don't like this white-hot blue-tinged impostor nearly as well! The scary thing is where is it going to end? How much more additional UV and "heat" from the Sun can people and plants handle until it becomes deadly?? |
