Its a good story Leonid (meteor shower) ELE (Extinction Level Event) NIN (Nine).

As far as this is concerned... has anyone used Maltego or the like to really do a search on this guy. I have and was not very convinced of what I found.

Perhaps it stands for the following.

If you do an anagram of Leonid Elenin, it comes out as Needle In Lion! ZOMG DOOOOM!!!!

Position each letter of both names LEONID and ELENIN with their corresponding number order in the Alphabet (E=5, L=12, etc…) then add up the numbers for each name.

Coincidentally, both add up to 59…
