The bible was just the first law man could think up to control the general population. We are all made out of energy which will always continue, but our memories die with our body and brain. This should not detract from us treating one another as we would like to be treated ourselves. We should all have morals and treat everyone with kindness. However we must also realize, this is not only for the betterment of ourselves, family, friends, and even foes, but also for advancement and future of human beings in general. We will advance someday, but only as a species - not as individual beings...

All my life, I believed what most people believe, that Adam was created on the sixth day. After some time of serious Bible study, I finally saw the light.

God created all the races on the sixth day. (Gen.1:27-28). He looked at his creation, and saw that it was good. He rested on the seventh day. Then God saw that he needed a husbandman, or a man to till the ground ( a farmer).(Gen.2:5). He then created Adam.

If you read down through the verses, you will see this is true.Now you may say, this is all a bunch of hogwash. Well, let's examine things a little bit.

When God exiled Cain from Eden, Cain says "everyone that findth me shall slay me" (Gen:4:14). Who was "everyone" if Adam & Eve were the only one's created? (The sixth day creation of course).
Cain went to dwell in the land of Nod. There he "knew his wife; and she conceived and bare Enoch" (Gen:4:17). Where did Cain's wife come from? The sixth day creation of course.
Common sense should tell us that all the races could not have come from Adam & Eve. There are many things in God's word that we have not understood correctly, but upon further study we learn the truth. If we would only read the Word as it is written, but man tries to take away or add to it.

Children are taught that the forbidden fruit consumed by Adam & Eve was an apple. Where does it say that? It doesn't! There is much to relearn in God's Word. I enjoy learning the truth, finally. I hope you do too.

Oh, sorry - I do understand what you were getting at now - thank you for the the clarification. The answer is yes. All of our minds have been shaped, or "controlled" into what they are now. Morals were passed down from one generation to the next until we have what we have now. This started as the bible. A book of fictional stories. Nothing more. It was a good thing at the time and it served it's purpose well through the ages. I would hate to think what we would all look like now if it were not for the christian bible, or any other religion. They have all served their purpose well, but for non-third world countries - it is time we all grow up and stop reading and believing in fairy tales. Let's all focus instead on piece the advancement of human kind. Far too many wars have been fought over religion.
