Based on Sid's development ideas, he wanted to ensure that all players had a single-player-game experience, even though it was multiplayer.

Therefore, theoretically, the OP is implying that the agents in chemtrails are designed to prevent a unification of consciousness and the development of group mind (telepathy, shared knowledge, etc).

Supposedly this is 'good' because people are 1) uprepared for a collective conscious and 2) are more effective working under the illusion that they are individuals and their thoughts are their own.

If this is true, then I'd venture to say that it's the Elite Families who want this to remain the rule, and its not necessarily for the benefit of the masses. How can you have an elite when there are no isolated individuals anymore?
