The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

It is the LOVE of money that has lead to the practices that are 'acceptable business' in our modern society.

The LOVE of material wealth (stuff) is also bad for you, it always comes with strings and you are never fully satisfied, and in order to keep getting some satisfaction one needs to acquire more loot.

Money is a tool, it has been badly abused, but it is a useful tool.

Stuff is good, to a point, but all things in moderation.

One can be comfortable in their life and still retain their integrity.

No one needs to live in a 5 bedroom house, no one needs 3.5 vehicles, no one needs a TV in every room, no one needs an Iphone/Pad thingy along with a computer and an x-box and a....

One can live comfortably with a two bedroom house, with a (singular) TV in the living room, with a proper phone and one (a) computer.

Its the choices to have it all and as much of it as possible that has lead to a society that is drunk on material possessions which leads to these dishonest, mean, practices.

It has always been this way.

I've come to be at peace with it. I'd rather be poor and be able to face myself in the mirror every day.

It is according to what you consider poor. I don't want to be rich, I never have. Being rich has to many problems that come with it.

I would rather be rich in my spirit and love of God and his Son Jesus the Christ. I have love for my follow man, some I just do like because of their bad actions, but I pray for them.

Far greater riches are to be had in things that money cannot buy.

Honor and integrity gives you peace of mind which is far more valuable than money.

Happiness cannot be found in riches.

You know what they ALL had in common as the one trait that attributed to their success??

INTEGRITY.

Certainly there are unethical & unscrupulous rich people around (incidentally, their wealth & businesses rarely last), but the truth is that most self-made millionaires share that common habit of personal integrity.

In that book I mentioned, "The Millionaire Mind", author Thomas Stanley actually interviewed 733 multi-millionaires and asked them what were the key factors that contributed to their wealth.

Again OP, I want to reiterate that ranked number one was ‘being honest with people’.

Surprised? This factor was ranked way ahead of factors like ‘making wise investments’, ‘working hard’ and ‘having a competitive spirit’.

What is integrity and why is it so important to long term wealth?

Integrity is about being honest with others and adhering to high moral standards. It is also about doing what you say you will do.

When you act with integrity, your customers, colleagues and staff will place their trust in you. They know that you mean what you say and that you will not let them down.

They know that you will give them the best quality for their money and they know that you will not cheat them.

We have all heard the phrase ‘A man is nothing without his word’ and that is 100% true! Integrity is the essence of everything. In everything that you do, act with integrity.

When you are able to keep your word and deliver on your promise, people can trust you and your business. And trust builds long lasting relationships.

It is evident almost everywhere, between old friends, married couples, business partners, etc, all those successful relationships are all build on a very strong bond of trust.

In a world where so many people are unethical and dishonest, build your reputation on integrity and you will have an endless supply of customers, suppliers, investors and business partners.

Over the years, think about those that have approached you to enter into an agreement, be it business or whatever. I know I can list quite a few that I have turned down (many of them, no matter how great the opportunities to make money seemed to be. I can not and will not put myself at risk of personal or financial loss due to working with someone or being in ANY relationship where I know they are not honest, loyal or have in general: INTEGRITY.


Remember that it takes a lifetime to build some things and only a second to lose, so always act with integrity, treasure it and you will possess one of the greatest strengths of all.

The reason you're feeling this way is because it is true. Hard work is not the way to get ahead at all, all you've done is proven that you're okay with getting shit on. And that you'll keep allowing yourself to get shit on.

You need to learn to bullshit and deligate responsibility to others before you'll ever be considered for a promotion at your job. You have to make it clear that your ready to play the game.

No one wants to see how hard you work, they want to see how hard you can make someone else work...

Or you can have your integrity and honor, and continue working like a slave, it's your choice.

Think about it though, if you're so "honorable and nice" you shouldn't be worrying about "getting ahead" anyway...
So it seems like you're on the fence.

If you really have honor and were nice you would be working at a soup kitchen for free and you wouldn't be seeking out money to buy stupid shit. All people really need is food and shelter for half the year.

So it seems like you're missing the point, you need to make a choice of the person you want to be.

You are wrong. I know many that are successful in all forms; from entertainment industry to academia to business owners and International Relations.

They have INTEGRITY and their wealth has LASTED. The way you are approaching it is not in vibration with the universe and I can promise you will struggle to keep it. As easy as it was to amass wealth by cheating or lying, it can be taken away and given to the next one...make sense?

You would be best to act and think in a certain way and work in faith and purpose of your vision of success. Good luck friend I hope you change your thinking so that you can keep your wealth.

Hang in there man. Sounds like your life has been hard lately. Find peace in the fact that you haven't violated morals, or whatever. Don't lose hope, your perception could be drastically different in a few days. But try to keep a good attitude, it doesn't mean you have to be ignorant.

It's not that I am expecting to be rich, I just want to be comfortable enough financially to not ever have to rely on others for my own wants/needs. I have a family to look after and want things for them, yet it seems as though the system is designed to give just enough for the common folks to be comfy, but never really get ahead far enough to be self reliant.

I want to break out of that system is all yet it seems that the goal posts are forever moving away just as I get close.

I have been listening to subliminals all night and my mid is clearer and more neutral.

You are wrong. You can't go around taking advantage of people. That is no way to build a business. It will be over before you started. Do you want to be like the "travelers" who scam all the people they can in a community and then hit the road? I think not.

If your business model is WIN-LOSE, you got a problem. WIN-WIN businesses are ideal, and our society is largely built around them. NEUTRAL type business models are OK, IE not be really benefitting anybody except yourself but not really harming anyone.

The biggest losers in business are those who think they are winning because they are making money, but they are LOSING THEIR REPUTATION. You can make real money without hoodwinking anyone. It is the only way to make money, since if you rip people off you will lose sleep and just be miserable even if you make a fortune.

YES, it works and I have seen it work and people's attitudes, approach, self-esteem and how they vibrate an work within the laws of attraction change. Changing from Competitive to Creative in many of our undertakings can also make a big difference. ;-)

Where do you live? Some places are worse than others. It might be advisable to move somewhere those values are still very much respected by and large.

The highlighted phrase is the key problem. After I figured out that wealth is a manifestation of my mind, I started living in abundance and never think about money. I have way more than I need and feel like I'm rich.

That's basically the government and big corporations that are international. They go hand in hand and are evil, but most people work for smaller family owned businesses and they are purely straightforward. I haven't seen too many scumbags, I have seen a lot of corporate scumbags skate though. We all know the type that spend all their time in "meetings" where they BS eat and make lame decisions that don't work int he real world.

Government is all parasites, they never do anything for anyone, they take money from one group of citizens and give it to another or not even to other countries and foreign interests for their personal gain. Government is pure parasitism.
