Due to work, I can't leave to meet my wife and kids for a couple weeks. Normally it'd be fun to have a couple weeks to myself, but for some reason I just feel broken and alone, especially with the holiday weekend and nobody else I want to share it with. Anyone else here go through this and have suggestions on how to get over it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1168223call 1-900- gay -chats... I am sorry that they won't be there for you, but it's nice that you love them like that and miss them. But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love. |

Take advantage of the situation and either spend some time on yourself or plan something special for your family when they get home. That way you have something to look forward to and something to occupy your time while they are gone. Paint the kids bedrooms, put together a surprise for your wife, do some landscaping in the yard, catch up on your honey-do list, plan a special family night out. |

Try to get out of a mindset that you are suffering and help someone else out. Buy some small gifts and go visit a hospital and give a Christmas present to some kid there, or give some food away or something. And with Skype you can see and talk with your family and or friends whenever you want. |
