How is it unbelievable? People do home-births all the time. It's funny how we are supposed to be advancing as a species yet there is this yearning to go back to a time when we were simple.

My wife gave birth to both of my children without the aid of drugs... nothing to take the edge off and nothing to even stuff out. She was a trooper. Not a yelp and not a whimper. To this day, to me, she epitomizes strength.

Actually, we may be descended from a semi-aquatic species as, unlike

for retaining body heat in water), greatly reduced body hair; and nostrils
which are designed to prevent water from entering when submerged (well,
there is one monkey with a nose like that, fittingly called the Proboscis

about our possible lives in warm-water intertidal zones. Lots of advantages
there -- ability to retreat into the water to avoid land predators and ability
to retreat onto land to avoid water predators; excellent sources of nutrition
in the intertidal zone (shellfish, seaweeds, etc), easily harvested; sanitation
is taken care of by the tides, etc. etc. She was shut down by mainstream male
scientists who cannot let go of their investment into protohumans living on the savannah and getting eaten by lions in a harsh and unforgiving environment.
That's just so much more -- manly.

say about mating (face to face, unlike other primates) and delivering the baby and how our bodies are adapted to a water delivery. Check it out.

The best way to prepare water for a birth is to make it saline. Easy and effective.

All pregnancies and deliveries are different. Just because you wife did it naturally does not mean she is stronger than someone who did not. And why is it a pissing contest anyway? In case you missed it in the video the baby came out...and what comes out after it? Yeah the placenta. So since the placenta is rather large and the cervix rather small, I'm gonna say it covers it.

Placenta previa would be a whole different ballgame and I don't think she would be giving birth at home if that were the case.


I never said it wasn't possible, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that MOST if not ALL women that give birth underwater fill their tubs with CLEAN WATER!! I doubt they go out and dip it from a pond or a ditch.

If she is upright (which she is) and the baby comes out, the next thing that comes out is the placenta. It doesn't take a freaking genius to do the math on that.

No shit! Jesus I've had three kids. I know how it works!!....my response was to the comment that "the placenta is covering the cervix, so the bathwater would have no way to infect the mother or baby."..something like that....my point was that yes the BABY comes first, so there could not have been a placenta covering the cervix! If the placenta was REALLY covering the cervix/blocking it...then guess what? That baby would of had to have been born by c-section. Jesus christ......I seriously wonder why in the hell there are adults in this world that just cannot comprehend anything......how the hell did you all get through school???
