The police in this country have officialy lost it.

No there is not you can see it on the video that's exactly what happened every time he tried to tell them they told him to shut up.

That's exactly what it seemed like to me. It didn't seem that anything the "suspect" did would have pleased him. It would have been very scary, not knowing whether to talk and hope you said the right thing, or stay quiet and hope it didn't make him mad.

If not, they should be! Like, weekly. As a taxpayer, I wouldn't bitch about my money being used for that.

thats not true. the driver could have put his hands out the car window and stated back to the officer standing there near his side of the car early on he was a concealed carry permit holder and there is a gun in the vehicle.

he had all the time in the world. a cop went into the back seat after the guy got out and he could have said it to him then.

he kept quiet about it.

Wow, un-F-ing believable. I believe the citizen, he probably does know the hooker from being a cabbie. A lot of hookers & strippers don't have cars or drivers licenses and most of them have a cabbie on speed dial. Don't ask how i know this lol.... These cops are frigging retarded and they don't understand what it's like to struggle with finding/keeping a job because their unions will protect them and nothing will happen to these douches even though it's all on film. This citizen did nothing wrong. I hope something comes of this, but it doubt it will, keep us posted please.

Yes you're missing that the cop told him to shut up repeatedly and kept interrupting him when he did try to speak. Maybe you should get a job in LE lol

It does me too. No, they aren't routinely tested. It takes complaints, usually within the department, which seldom happens, to get them drug tested. You saw how his partner backed him. They don't like to speak out against another.

I live probably an hour from where this happened in Ohio.

Most police are not drug tested...ever. Even with a complaint its hard due to their unions.

He tried to tell him. The cop interrupted. He tried to tell him he had his permit. The cop interrupted him. Nothing he'd have done would have satisfied this cop. It might have gotten him killed.

Yes. After the video was published, the Canton Police Dept. posted on their facebook page that they're going to leave the video up on their page and the cop is being investigated. He's been suspended from duty.

Hopefully more will come of it and this man will be dismissed from the department and/or get the help he needs.

It's a wake up call to know that if the video hadn't been released and there hadn't been such a big public outcry, it would continue. The most chilling thing was the ending, where the cop said he would have a witness to him being executed for being stupid. There is no doubt in my mind that if the "suspect" hadn't done exactly what he did, we'd have read in the paper about cops killing a man who either lunged for them, or reached for his weapon.

in NC all concealed carry holders are required to immediately place both hands out of their windows. that is the first nonverbal action to alert the officer that he is a concealed carry permit holder.

then the officer knows that and this whole issue never happens if done right.

not sure about Ohio, but if he would have held his card and hands out of the window and remained silent nothing would have happened.

look, the cop went into the back seat early on in the video and he said nothing to him...all he had to do was say 'i have a conceal carry permit" the officer would have immediately gotten out of the car, alerted the other officer and the whole situation could have been avoided.

i dont need a job in LE to know how to open my mouth and say i have a concealed carry permit...my requirement to let the officer know far outweighs him telling me to shut up.

the guy screwed up and got in trouble.

It doesn't have anything to do with skin color. A scum bag is a scum bag regardless. Every cop should go to Oath Keepers and see what the oath they swore means. The Constitution is the ultimate law of the land, and they swore to uphold it.
