I can't start the thread. I didnt have a clue what you were talking about. I just like the wind. not to go there. But have you ever dance naked in a storm? you develop a love for wind "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." |
Unit3 User ID: 9834739 United States 10/05/2012 03:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sure. I'll be around for awhile. I may step out to have a smoke. But I'll still be online...for another hour or maybe longer. Quoting: Jonny Blaze Okay, thanks. First, I believe you're telling me how I can become more empowered by the wind? Is this correct? If I can determine the direction the wind blows when I feel the most empowered? And what's meant by we can do the impossible...not sure how you worded it right now. Second, would you enter the discussion on this thread: Thread: Cry... Cry and let go... Remember YOU, remember LOVE (Page 5) Yes. But I can't say for sure because the interaction with the wind is something that women have over men. As it was described in Carlos Castaneda's 'The Second Ring of Power', all I can offer is my best understanding of what was described and how I interpreted it. I don't know if 'empowered' is the most adequate word to describe it. It is more like the wind has the ability to align the intent of the woman with the intent of the spirit. Women are naturally superior stalkers. They are forced to learn the concepts of the art of stalking because they are women...born into a world where they aren't as physically strong as the other gender of the species. They aren't effective when they push themselves to the front. They have to work behind the scenes to get what they want out of life. They have to find a way to maneuver others into placing them in the role of a director. The wind gives them the moment of opportunity to choose their battle. The art of stalking is the following (from Castaneda's Wheel of time): “The art of stalking is a set of procedures and principles that enables a warrior to get the best out of any conceivable situation.” “The first principle of the art of stalking is that warriors choose their battleground. A warrior never goes into battle without knowing what the surroundings are.” “To disregard everything that is unnecessary is the second principle of the art of stalking. A warrior doesn’t complicate things. He aims at being simple. He applies all the concentration he has to decide whether or not to enter into battle, for any battle is a battle for his life. This is the third principle of the art of stalking. A warrior must be willing and ready to make his last stand here and now. But not in a helter-skelter way.” “A warrior relaxes and abandons himself; he fears nothing. Only then will the powers that guide human beings open the road for a warrior and aid him. Only then. That is the fourth principle of the art of stalking.” “When faced with odds that cannot be dealt with, warriors retreat for a moment. They let their mind meander. They occupy their time with something else. Anything would do. That is the fifth principle of the art of stalking.” “Warriors compress time; that is the sixth principle of the art of stalking. Even an instant counts. In a battle for your life, a second is an eternity, an eternity that may decide the outcome. Warriors aim at succeeding, therefore they compress time. Warriors don’t waste an instant.” “In order to apply the seventh principle of the art of stalking, one has to apply the other six: a stalker never pushes himself to the front. He is always looking on from behind the scenes.” “Applying these principles brings about three results. The first is that stalkers never take themselves seriously; they learn to laugh at themselves. If they are not afraid of being a fool, they can fool anyone. The second is that stalkers learn to have endless patience. Stalkers are never in a hurry; they never fret. And the third is that stalkers learn to have an endless capacity to improvise.” Since we work better behind the scene, why would we start a thread on how the wind empowers us? "We are the music makers. And we are the dreamers of dreams." Willy Wonka |

Pharista (OP) User ID: 24890415 10/06/2012 11:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Today I am going to share a practical exercise to learn more about just how many identities we invest in every day of our lives. Quoting: Pharista On a piece of paper make the heading 'I' and underneath list all the positive non-physical qualities you have; I'll start off with a few:- 'I' = Conscience Compassion Empathy Grace Integrity Awareness of self Unchanging/Eternal Observer Peace Gratitude Understanding Patience/Tolerance Acceptance Love Courage Forgiveness Creative expression authentic passion/vocation.... ......... Now make a list of all the labels attached to you the human identity, we will refer to these as little i's:- i - the name i - the gender i - the race i - the age/generation i - the beautiful/ugly i - the fat/thin i - the daughter/son i - the religion i - the student i - the friend i - the career i - the wife/husband i - the parent i - the rich/poor person i - the young/old i - the blonde/redhead/brunette woman i - the bald/grey man i - the VIP business man-/corporate wife i - the politician i - the carnivore/vegetarian etc etc attached to these little i's is a lot of body conscious ego and many negative emotions, especially when one of these deeply ingrained identities feels threatened:- Fear, inappropriate anger/rage, blame, projection, greed, insecurity, jealousy, hatred etc etc The little i's are all the things we invest in when stuck in body conscious awareness, they are temporary and transient investments which cannot satisfy us in themselves. We juggle these hats we wear, switching quickly from one little identity to the next generating plenty of negative emotional dust as we go and leaving little or no time to tune in to our eternal nature or to just 'be'. If we draw a large bubble on the paper and write in all the personal little i's we have, how much room is left in the bubble for the Real 'I'? For most of us, not very much space is left for 'Real I' awareness and so we need to make a conscious effort to make this space for our true Identity to recover. Of course we can't just throw in the towel and go and live in a monastery in the mountains - we need to learn to still live in the present day world but as much as possible to retain our real Identity of being a soul living in a body of matter. Even though others still identify us by the little i's they see, we no longer (continuously) view ourselves as such or others, and with time and practice more and more of the positive qualities listed under 'I' start to manifest in myself and those around me - this is a very worthwhile investment and it cannot be taken away. In the words of Bill Hicks 'It's just a ride'. I very much like this exercise so I'll stop here reading the thread. I'm bookmarking it though because I think I'll read from it every day. So, just letting you know how much I appreciate it and this feels so good.....like soft and gentle. I like it! And want to thank Qarley for pointing me here. I'm glad you like this exercise Unit3, I have consciously been practicing soul conscious awareness while in this body for around 25 years and sometimes it feels like I haven't made much progress - thankfully other times it does! When I first woke up from body consciousness, I tried to jump to being in I awareness without facing the traumas and origins of the deeply ingrained little i's, it was like I tried to disconnect from them, pretended they didn't exist. Secretly I was ashamed of them. You quite often see this effect in people who join a cult or start a form of spiritual practice or meditation. You know, the ones who move around in an ethereal manner reacting as though things don't get to them, quoting spiritual texts, beatific smiles etc, winding everyone around them up no end! Well I was like that back then - the ego and denial structures took a long time to crack. The initial buzz of finding a spiritual truth and way of being became a kind of addiction and taking responsibility for all the little i's as a young spiritual warrior wasn't something that I was mature enough to face. I used to spout endlessly about the law of karma but I wasn't prepared to face my own. Further down the line, denial did crack and I realised it wasn't about escape or disconnection but acceptance and transformation, I started to learn to face and accept my own shadow. It is an ongoing daily practice and I go off course regularly. Then I find the external events in my life manifest in such a way to teach me and nudge me back awake again. The inner critic has been transformed to an inner guide, always learning. I don't know what my point is, I guess it's that the exercise above sounds simple and yet it is a life (or lifetimes) long practice. Inner Engineer User ID: 14850597 United States 05/07/2013 12:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'd appreciate any positive vibrations sent my way, feeling extremely drained today from an event that took place lastnight into the early hours this morning. Trying to help a lost brother find his way back to remembering the truth has taken its toll on me. I've never witnessed so much negative energy coming out of someone, especially attacking the message I spoke through the Word, while schizophrenia would set in and he'd come back to and start crying about the dead feeling and loneliness inside. I felt God's presence blind my ego of his verbal putdowns and really low things said to me. It was my first true example of dealing with a powerful "demon" head on with love. I feel that I left a seed behind that'll surely blossom. Please send those positive vibrations out to our lost brother first and foremost, and any left over for me to aid in my recovery would be amazing. I've never felt this drained in my entire life. Thank you all, I love you. Last Edited by Inner Engineer on 05/07/2013 12:28 PM If you can't give up something in life, you don't own it, it owns you. |
