I have something called "Cough Variant Asthma." Maybe something worth exploring for you?

Its a different form of asthma that causes me to cough though my lungs aren't constricted. Its a dry, annoying cough that will start in the afternoon on days when I get it and it can be a very deep cough.

I had a cold a few years back that left me with a terrible cough that I could not shake for months. What cured it was an old recipe for cough syrup from a cookbook dated 1844:

Boil together 2 cups black elderberry juice and 2 cups molasses for 20 -30 minutes. Remove from heat and when it cools add I cup brandy. Sip slowly from a tablespoon and voila, your cough will be gone.

Could be in your throat. Do you smoke?

This happened to me all summer! I felt like I had the flu and a really horrible cough that wouldn't go away. I went to 3 different doctors who all told me it was just allergies. But I was coughing up yellow phlegm which I SWEAR means I have a virus, not allergies! Welcome to the club. I've found doctors constantly tell you nothing is wrong until you come in coughing up blood or are inches away from death. It's like they don't even know how to treat patients anymore.

possibly post nasal drip or maybe GERD (yes, it causes dry cough)? check in to both of those.

Yes it could be bronchitis which can give a lingering cough for about 6 weeks. May also be blood pressure meds. If you were placed on an ace inhibitor (vasotec, zestril, diovan, atacand, etc) within the last year that could be the source of your cough. A foreign body in your ear, such as wax, a piece of hair, ear wax can also result in a chronic cough. Asthma or allergies pretty obvious. I would rule out the above before you start looking for zebras.

Have you had an HIV Test? Dry Cough is endemic to HIV or other Retro-virus. Most unlikely unless you play for the team...Ah? Get what I'm saying?

We have had the same thing. I am 50-50 split between chemtrails causing it or a fungus.


I do not feel that it is either a virus or bacteria. No fever or other typical symptoms. Very atypical. All four of us have had it for about two months.
