Melancholia - boring movie OR most boring movie ever?

amazing film, watched it twice today, if there is a planet coming to destroy ours this basic scenario will play out in every household.

i liked it as a drama.

i get tired of michael bay style movies.

You must be in a coma.

There was nothing dramatic about it, it was a snooze fest. It's only redeeming quality was the end when it was finally over.

um no, its a thought invoking film.

watch it again , with a different set of "eyes"

Yes , it is. Now focus on your eyes, your current set is prohibiting you from understanding the film.

Thanks for being some typical dumb down American yahoo that needs typical Hollywood fare to enjoy the movie industry. I'm so glad they make movies for the rest of us who "get it" to enjoy, grow and expand our minds.

anyone that is expecting a spiritual revelation from watching a movie (in this case Mellancholia) is out of their damned minds. I didn't like the movie , only saw it through to the end because once I start watching I can't stop ...

I liked it, thinking movie, like that.

I fastforwarded to the scene where you could see her boobs and then to the end when the planet finally hits Earth. So yes, boring movie.

I thought it was not that bad. The shots were nice sometimes but it was very slow paced. I really liked the way how the director showed the emotional side of the characters. The obsessed astronomer guy got more and more excited, the two women got more depressed as they didn't know what was coming. The melancholic feeling they get probably reflects the feelings of a lot of GLPérs here when another forecasted doom event is running hot on this site.

The moral of this movie is when a doom event is approaching you should hit on just married women as they are an easy target for getting laid.

It obvious he likes smell of death. He enjoys them.

To me it merely sounded and appeared so pathetically boring and pointless I never even downloaded it....

Lars Von Trier is one of the best Director's still alive.

The only good thing about that movie was the Horse otherwise it was a giant sleeping pill.

The problem with the general public nowadays is that they are not ready for this type of cinema ...a more poetic one.

All these sheeps like commercial movies. Open your mind and try to understand why it is considered as one of the best movie of the year.
