Re: U.S. Supercommittee Ready to Announce Failure -- Market Crash, Moody's Downgrade?
Mornin' everybody.

This is indeed curious. After watching the charade last time, I can't help but feel that they'll pull out a card at the last minute so they can past themselves on the back and say "Look at us, we are heroes."

If indeed it does fail....uh...I'll be the guy speeding down the road to his FFL to get an AR. I'd expect the next dose of war to be right around the corner if they do not use the "hero card".

Gotta scoot out to work in a few more minutes...but the futures look sick to me.

Have a great day! Yes, the futures are ugly & metals are way down. This is telling to me because metals & stocks will both fall in the real deal downdraft. When thos metals do plummet, try to buy some at the cheaper price because they will rebound as a safe have as the house of cards tumbles.
 Quoting: Jane Smith

Do you think PM's will get as low as $20/oz? I'm waiting to buy more.

The lowest you can get a silver eagle on ebay is $40 ish.
 Quoting: Me too

I usually buy from Gainsville Coins. I also buy the silver buffalos. The have a smaller premium & when it comes down to needing metals to safeguard wealth, the weight & purity is what will count. I own Eagles & they are beautiful but they sell at a higher premium becuse of collectability.

There may be some other posters who are most knowledgeable about the collectability aspect that I am & may be better able to advise you on that.

Morning, Jane. I still can't believe they won't find a way to push it a little further, but this does smell doomy.

Either way, 5 stars and a pin suggest.

Thanks, Rev.

I have always questioned why a deadline the day before Thanksgiving? Perhaps it is orchestrated to have the most people possible distracted from their failure as possible. Also, nice long weekend where nobody can retrieve or shift their funds.

Turkey day is better even than Christmas as it includes everyone, Christmas allows those people who do not celebrate that holiday to be watching. Thanksgiving, they are all stuufed with heavy food, the guys are watching sports, the women are out shopping. Thge only ones paying any attention are the GLPrs.

If these fools had been acting in the best interest of this country, they would never have allowed the mess to even be made. The debt level we see before us does not even include the unfunded obligations & committments. They are obligating & committing funds we do not & probably will never have.

How many of us would spend our families into this level of debt? Not me.

Tokeep office? Yep.

It is a dangerous game that could backfire in very bad ways, but Americans, historically speaking, are uncomfortable with changing CICs during a hot war. In this case though, I think it will wake more people up & infuriate the population ... or at least I hope so.

This is just how bad shit is in this country right now.

A "FAILURE" to reach a sham deal where spending is actually INCREASED is called a "FAILURE."

If we were living in REALITY, it would be called "SUCCESS!"

Headline news! Congress decided NOT to agree on a sham deal that would unnecessarily INCREASE spending!"

They announced failure when they were made; nothing but smoke and mirrors and we will soon find out just how bad things really are.

God speed to each and every one of you out there
"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"- James Madison

"Joining the military does not mean that you will be defending the country. The purpose of the U.S. military should be to defend the United States. Period. Yet, one of the greatest myths ever invented is that the current U.S. military somehow defends our freedoms. First of all, our freedoms are not in danger of being taken away by foreign countries; if they are taken away it will be by our own government. It is not a country making war on us that we need to fear, it is our government making war on the Bill of Rights. And second, how is stationing troops in 150 different regions of the world on hundreds of U.S. military bases defending our freedoms? It is not the purpose of the U.S. military to change regimes, secure the borders of other countries, or spread democracy at gunpoint. The Department of Defense should first and foremost be the Department of Homeland Security."--Laurence Vance--

It is certainly a word in the South.

Fix, with any number of possible suffixes makes for a very versatile method of communication, lol!

I'm a fixin' to get me some coffee. Ya know, that there okry looks like it just might be fixable for supper.

Whole different dialect when I go home for a visit.
