Not just a removal mind you but one with a very short deadline. Countries always give short deadlines for expulsion, it causes a bit of panic and if the embassy in question want to brief their spy's before leaving they have to take short cuts to contact them, this give the domestic security services lots of good intel on who the embassy is contacting before their departure. This standard practice in these situations. |

This is a time of personal responsibility and personal authority, of becoming aware of oneself as the choice maker of our experience. |

What counts as bellicose words in Iran is rather different from what counts as bellicose words from a Foreign Secretary in the House of Commons. I worry about the tone that the right hon. Gentleman has adopted today. I noted that on the radio a couple of weeks ago he refused to rule out military intervention. Will he do so today? Quoting: Hansard [link to www.publications.parliament.uk] Mr Hague: No. I always say that all options remain on the table, but I always make it clear, as did the previous Government, that we are not advocating military action against Iran. Our position is the same as that of the previous British Government—the hon. Gentleman was a Foreign Office Minister in that Government—and the same as that of France, Germany and the United States. It is a united international position, and we continue to adhere to the one to which he subscribed. |

And why do they get the nice treatment to leave when there were over 1000 manzes waiting outsite the Iranic embassy with pitchforks? Like for like, tit for tat, slaps for slaps methinks |

This standard practice in these situations. This is not entirely true, but does have some merrit. Typically, the embassy would not contact a "spy" directly anyway, but it could push for some "sloppiness" that could be traced. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
