Moscow anti-Putin protests live | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 5544817 Russia 12/10/2011 11:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some of my first-hand impressions I got near Bolotnaya square today: Quoting: Kuutamo 1. Most of the protesters do not belong to any party or political fraction, usual people just don`t want Putin with his corrupted party and administration anymore. 2. I`m again got strongly assured by what I saw and heard that Putin has ABSOLUTELY no chances to be reelected in fair and lawful way. In case he will try to take the power by force or new election fraud, Russia is doomed to civil war or at least a coup, military law and further desintegration to several states. 3. Today rally was peaceful and many policemen in the crowd frankly told they would never go against people if the protests continue on that or larger scale. 4. Next major rally are planned in Moscow on Dec, 24. Significantly more numbers of protesters expected. 5. Personally, I think that what we see is very very bad and doomy developments as the ruling scums will never give the power away by peaceful means. They just have no way for retreat and survive... too many crimes done by them. I wonder, what`s next... :putler: You're a dumbass. You would be living in a shithole if it weren't for Putin. I've been to Russia in the 90's and have seen with my own eyes the people standing in lines to buy some meat in a local grocery. But then again you're probably a bolshevik or a nazi so it is your intention to turn Russia to a shithole once and for ever. You're a dumbass. During Putin's presidency, Russia has lost more than 4 million people. I don't know alot about Russia's policies, but I do know that Russia and China are allied against the west at the U.N. It seems Russia and China have a cyber-security proposal at the UN for making each state sovereign in its internet, to keep cyber attacks on grids from happening. The US is STRONGLY opposed to the proposal. This with the US going forward on the missile defense shield, has increased tension between the west and Russia. This seems like the US has a hand in destabilizing Russia. Divide and conquer technique used in Iraq, during the Soviet- Iraq war, where the US propted up numerous groups like al Qaeda, Haqanni, ect. I sure hope the Russian people calm this down, not following the lead to destablize their own government, I fear if this keeps going - they will lose their sovereignty through the sane route as Egypt. |

They had the same resources in the past yet they were living like shit under the communists and the Yeltsin's robber barrons. I have to agree, the resouces haven't changed. The leadership has. But what is the truth? IS Russia better off today than in the decades before the 1990's? It seems so. Has the economy started on a track that leads to growth after that time. It seems so. Communist systems are hard to dismantle, it takes time, and it seems Russian policies are trying to speed up the time it takes to integrate full democracy into a system that had no way of allowing for economic reforms under a capitalist system. Here in the US, we are going the opposite direction, we are systematically tearing down economic capitalist system forging ahead into socialism and then marching towards communism, as Marx wrote about. I would much rather have a government that is trying to dismantle communist systems to allow for economic freedoms, whether it was corrupt or not, than to have a government trying to take away my economic freedoms like we in the US are going through as we speak. |

I agree, it does go against a market system, which the dooms it to failure. Although, if there is enough money in the coffers of the central government, it will last and work for a period of time, until the central money supply is used up. Then it dies. Or a quicker death if corrupted. But, capitalism fails eventually too. There is only so much growth that can happen before implosion happens, the "bubbles" we have had prove that. Although, market capitalism cycles last the longest before death of the system. |
