Also heard immediately after the shot is the pistol(?) hitting the floor. In my opinion this is concurrent with a self inflicted wound , albeit quite a mysterious setting for one. |

Quoting: Sir Griffo Col Mikolaj Przybyl was defending a military investigation into media leaks related to the air crash that killed the Polish president in 2010. He asked reporters to leave so that he could take "a break". Upon hearing a loud thud, the reporters returned to find him on the floor with a pool of blood around his head. Mr Przybyl, who was in his office in Poznan, western Poland, is now in hospital in stable condition. His life is not in danger, according to hospital officials. One of the reporters present told Polish television: "We heard a loud thud and we went back into the room thinking one of the cameras had fallen over. Then we saw the prosecutor motionless on the ground in a pool of blood, his military gun beside him." In television pictures of the news conference, Col Przybyl is seen reading out a statement to reporters: "During my entire service as a civilian and later military prosecutor, I have never brought shame to the Republic of Poland and I will protect the honour of an officer of the Polish armed forces and prosecution. Because the window was open?? Maybe he had opened the window himself. Maybe the crew who ran into his office after hearing the shot opened the window? You can't say. One thing I noticed is that after the shot is fired, at the same time you hear the thud of his body hitting the floor, you can also hear the loud thud of what sounds like nothing other than a gun hitting the floor as well. Sounds to me like a definite suicide attempt.... the walls are closing in. |

Listening to the sound of the gun being cocked, I'm not convinced that the sound heard is not that of the curtains being pulled to the side. The sound of the metal curtain rod plus the metal rings supporting the curtain could easily be mistaken for a pistol being racked. I once witnessed a guy throw himself in the subway right in front of me ( No more than 10 ft), and apart from the fact that he was right on the edge of the platform with arms outstretched, I had no idea what was about to take place. then again I was only a kid. |

I could have been he drew his pistol and chambered the round because of something he saw or heard when he went into the room, to defend himself? This could also explain the poorly placed kill shot, the mark getting a pistol into action could have been a serious problem for the whole set up, so the killer took a hurried shot because things did not go as planned. |
