How do you make the situation better by lashing out at him, when he is simply expressing a terrible grief? What help have you given him? What help have you given her?

You are so angry that he's not "doing something" instead of posting on a forum... but here you are, with the ability to interact directly with a wounded and hurting human, and what are you doing? You are being hateful and cruel.

I suspect that if someone gave him an idea of a way that he could truly help that didn't feel impossible or out of reach for him, he would do it (or she, as the case may be).
