Before you beat Lisa's head to a pulp, drag her into the street and light her on fire, think about this. L.A. Marzulli (See link below), whom is a respected guest on GLP supports her position to some degree. The problem with most people who don't read the bible, or think the only significant book is Revelations, are not exactly educated enough on the matter.

On the other hand, when you post something like Lisa did, you should be prepared to back up your post with scripture and research to fend off the skeptics.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. However, I believe her message was intended to be positive and enlightening. God's Message through the bible was that of hope, guidance, love, and forgiveness. How is that a bad thing? How is that evil? How is that stupid? The fact is that alot of people just want to live their lives with no regrets, consequences, or responsibilities.

It's just my opinion, but she brings something plausible to the table. Rather than attack her. Counter her with proof or evidence on your side that she is wrong.

If they are trying to decieve us into believing something that is a lie, then shouldn't it be that the UFO's are real and Jesus is the big lie?? I mean, we have religion crammed down our throats all our lives and yet they(gov. religious right) deny UFO's exist, yet they all go along with the Jesus myth.. So if what they are trying to make you believe NOW is the lie (Jesus-Christianity)then the avoidance of UFO phenomenon by them should indicate the exact opposite....

No, it does not. It cannot. If a god existed, he would be so far more advanced than any science our feeble human minds could ever come up with. Science cannot prove the existence of a god. Science can't even prove what gravity is, and we KNOW it exists.

You are delusional. If you were scientific at all, in any sense of the word, you would know that you cannot prove the existence of "God."

What makes you think that out of the billions of people that have ever lived on this planet, that YOU have the ability to know the grand design and will of a being you are infinitely smaller than? That's like taking a single cell from your body and saying that it knows your intentions and will, when you don't even know yourself what will happen to you tomorrow. If "God" has the infinite power, it should be apparent that you have no idea.

I will go as far to say that you can prove the non-existence of "God" much easier than you can prove the existence of such an idea.

And since I mentioned the billions of people, if not trillions of people that have ever lived on this earth, and in the last 20 centuries or so, some of you seem to believe the story of the Bible, let's look at it from a scientific point of view.

You could calculate the birth and death rate since man has been on this earth, or just over the past 2,000 years since Jesus supposedly walked the earth to be more precise, but I'm not going to do that because it would be an astronomical number. It can't be argued that in 2,000 years, there have been billions upon billions, if not trillions or more lives that have been lived upon this planet. The overwhelming majority of them not being Christian. Not even close.

Jesus was supposed to be the savior of mankind, but if you look at it from the point of view of how many people are actually following him, or have ever followed him, it is the tiniest of a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of a percentage, etc... and that number drastically falls when you narrow the criteria to YOUR idea of what salvation means... SO... that kinda paints Mr. Christ as one of the biggest possible failures you could ever hear about.

I'm pretty sure that alone is a good enough reason for you to maybe re-evaluate how narrow your scope really is.

I don't know what the truth is, I can't claim to know what it is. No one ever can. But I'm pretty confident it's a lot bigger and a lot better than what the Bible says...

An all powerful, omnipotent, ever-loving, omniscient being who created this perfection of a universe would be a lot better and a lot bigger than the fairy tales in the Bible.

At best they are interpretations of ancient man's ideals. Some of them good, some of them absurd, but definitely not divine.

i have used that passage myself. so maybe i should have clarified also. i guess it could be very insulting. there is a huge difference between someone who just doesnt believe and someone that would use her words against her to attack her. it came from Jesus telling His disciples not to throw their pearls to swine. meaning not to throw their knowledge to people that will just trample them and attack them anyway. if someone told you about Jesus and you just found it hard to believe that is fine. it isnt up to the Christian to make you a believer. just give you truth.

Sweetheart, the swine comment was made by another poster. I don't think I've ever called another person on here a swine. In fact, I don't judge others, just myself, and I've said that many many many times.

Now, I do spread the message of Jesus and salvation here because that is the truth. That's what the Bible says, that if you refuse Jesus, the Son of God, there is no forgiveness for sins. That's what the Lord has said, and that's what I say as well.
