The salt will travel into your sinus's and dry out and crustify the mucus. THINK ABOUT THIS! The universe created life to be observed, without an observer, it never existed. So it is a mathematical proof that the universe created life. |

Hopefully I'll be looking into it soon. I use the Breathe Right strips which are pretty expensive, but without them I have to physically hold my face up while I sleep... If that makes any sense - it's ridiculous. If that doesn't help you very much, depending on what the cause is it may be allergy-related, so you could try allergy remedies or medicine. You could also try a humidifier in your bedroom. |

I'm sure that could be deadly, somehow, with your brain right there and all.. Quoting: Wotansdottir I have a similar problem, and desperately want surgery for it. The blood was running so fast it was like a faucet, literally... The entire bathtub that I had to get in, the whole bottom was filled with blood. I passed out several times waiting for the ambulance. I thought I was going to die. I had to have a second surgery to correct the damage the clotted blood did. This left me with a whistle. I am worse off than before. |

Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~ Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~ Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~ “When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. Sorry you had to go through that - it hurts me just thinking about it! Aside from the bleeding out and everything you went through with that, having a whistle would drive me nuts. I'll definitely keep that in mind... But you know how horrible it is not to be able to breathe at night. Sucks. I hope you figure out some way to help improve it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1624141 United States 01/21/2012 02:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Believe it or not, smoking some bud will actually open your sinuses for about 40 minutes, helping to reduce that sensation of mucus sliding all over and stuffing you up. You might be able to fall asleep due to the relief, but once the effect wears off, you'll probably wake up since your sinuses will be swollen once again. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 7020617 United States 01/21/2012 02:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've had this happen for years to me, the only thing that helps is a humidifier in your room and taking vitamin A and D cause they help to your mucus membrane, also gooanti cancer things and just great for your body! (the vitamin a and d will take a little time to build back up cause you are more than likely missing a lot of vitamin a and d like I was :-)) Good luck!!! |

juju User ID: 7205358 United States 01/21/2012 02:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's what I do and it works: Take aspirin to reduce inflammation. Get powdered Vit C (GNC or health food store) and take 1/8 to 1/4 tsp in a glass of water a few times during the day to clear it up. It's very tart but it does the trick. As an aside, if I get a sore of any kind, I make a poultice with the a bit of Vit C and a little water. It gets rid of it pretty quickly. |
