I freely admit about this I am clearly ignorant also.
I understand that as the seasons change the position of the moon in relation to the sun also changes but what I dont understand is that how it could be that the last I remember seeing the moon cresent, it was on the side then last nite its directly under. Shouldnt there be a gradual change in the position of the cresent over time like many months?

I guess what Im wondering is what if the earth or moon wobbled?
