I do have some govt connections in family and friends here and in the US though that so that once in a while I am guarded about some things, and more open than others about other things.

I just got back and was out giving tandem paraglider rides today and yesterday.

With 25 years of experience I am good at what I do but I am more aware then ever before of the risks and this area has world renowned strong conditions, so I really don't enjoy flying and am more fearful than ever. I am not fearful enough to freeze up, but definitely enough to keep me attentive.

It's kind like riding a bike, but the stakes are higher. One wrong move for a fraction of a second when in turbulence and the wing has the potential to collapse into a small ball in front or behind, followed by some heavy G-force gyrations, and one more wrong move after and the pilot can potentially flip above and fall into the tangled mess of the sail and not even be able to save themselves with a reserve parachute.... or all that might even happen even if the pilot is doing all the "right" moves.

One is dealing with a powerful monster in the air that is completely invisible after all, and can only be predicted intuitively by experience.

I have lots of experience with both hang-gliding and paragliding, and feel that on the whole, modern paragliding is still safer than hang-gliding, but I live in a really strong region in terms of turbulence.

My passengers sometimes seem nervous, but the good thing is they don't have the experience to know how I feel, or they probably wouldn't fly in the first place, although they do get sick and often vomit. I only fly now because it pays good money compared to my low cost living expenses.

Here is a video from a few weeks ago, flying solo with a Canadian pilot, where there is a dramatic collapse of the wing occurred in some turbulence.

I have studied Nickola Tesla in great detail and he renounced religion in all of it's forms as the enemy of reason and science.
