NASA covers up mission with rocket launch today to destroy hazardous asteroid approaching Earth on March 20, 2012? *** HIT! ***
2012 BT23 is an Apollo class near earth object and potentially hazardous asteroid discovered on January 20, 2012
[link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

According to NASA's Close Approach Table
[link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

1) On March 8th, 1987 this object had it's 1st close approach to Earth

NOTE: On March 6th, 1987 two big quakes in Ecuador --
The 1987 Ecuador earthquakes occurred at on March 6, 1987 with magnitudes of 6.1 and 6.9 on the surface wave magnitude scale, respectively... The earthquakes caused an estimated 1,000 deaths and US$1 billion in damage.
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

2) On July 16th, 1998 this object had it's 2nd close approach to Earth

NOTE: On July 17th, 1998 a big quake and tsunami hit Papua New Guinea --
The 1998 Papua New Guinea earthquake was a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that took place in the early evening of Friday, 17 July 1998. The earthquake caused a large undersea landslide, which in turn caused a tsunami that hit the coast, killing more than 2200 people.
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

3) On March 20th, 2012 this object will have it's 3rd close approach to Earth

NOTE: On March 15th, 2012 NASA will launch 5 rockets in about five minutes
to "study the high-altitude jet stream"
Thread: NASA five-rocket mission launch - discussion

Soo... Are they covering up a "save the planet" rocket launch to destroy a hazardous asteroid before it closes in on Earth?

Nominal Distance of 0.123887599726393 AU....

That's 12% of the distance from the earth to the sun... this thing is not even close, that's like 40 times the distance of the moon.

It may not be a direct hit, but it has caused (or seems to) earth perturbations. Consider the recent and current Sun activity and you could surmise the need to prepare for any possibility. It seems that NASA may be doing just that.

I called it a close approach because it is on NASA's close approach table. What else would you call it?

No, confirmation bias makes you think it causes earth perturbations. Same thing happened with Elenin and people looking for confirmation in earthquake dates, guess what happened at close approach? Jack shit nothing.

To OP, suppose I observe 2012 BT23 later tonight and find that it's alive and well and right on the orbit NASA says it is. Will you admit you were wrong?

You can see a CME blast toward the sun diving Comet Swan just before it enters the frame. I have see in the past CMEs blast toward objects, perhaps due to the Plasma Discharge Comet Model [link to www.jmccanneyscience.com]

I also have see correlations between earthquakes with 1) solar flares, 2) geomagnetic storms and 3) NEO/PHA objects aligning with or getting near Earth. Can't explain why though.

No one is expecting it to hit us -- just close enough to maybe stir up more solar activity.

NASA is trying to block the radiation from the recent CME headed to the Earth because they fear that it could activate the junk DNA in the population and "awaken them".

Trimethyl aluminum (the stuff in the rockets) are being sprayed to lower testosterone and inhibit any beneficial radiation from the coming CME from the sun.

 Quoting: TheTruthWorker

Elenin disintegrated as small comets often do when they approach the sun. It's a natural thing, but the matter which made up Elenin continued on the same orbit as the originating comet and could be seen sometime later as a cloud of material. The mass was still there, just dispersed into a cloud. The cloud retained the original mass and inertia of the intact comet, which is why its position was predictable and why it was found:
[link to theboldcorsicanflame.files.wordpress.com]
Had it been massive enough to cause "earth perturbations" it still would have caused "earth perturbations." As far as earth was concerned it felt the same gravitational pull from Elenin that it would have felt had it remained intact. The mass didn't vanish, it simply dispersed into a cloud, but the distance of that mass from earth was effectively no different than if the comet were still intact, and of course, it was completely irrelevant to earth.

NASA has scrubbed the launch tonight of the five suborbital sounding rockets from the Wallops Facility as part of a study of the upper level jet stream. The launch was scrubbed because of an internal radio frequency interference issue with one of the rockets. The next launch attempt is no earlier than the night of Friday, March 16

Good comeback. And true. If I remember correctly, interference
(unknown) contributed heavily to Elenin's breakup before final approach to sun.

Soo... Are they covering up a "save the planet" rocket launch to destroy a hazardous asteroid before it closes in on Earth?
 Quoting: TheTruthWorker

No.

These are sounding rockets, they're (relatively) tiny.
They can't go into space.

The B612 Foundation has some ideas about how to save the Earth.
